Private Walking Tour: 5th Avenue and the Gilded Age Mansions

Description
Since the early days of the United States, 5th Avenue has been a desired address. However, since the creation of Central Park, 5th Avenue became the elite address where the rich and famous hired the greatest architects to compete over who could outdo their peers. We are left with a 100+ years of art, gossip, and hilarity. We'll start by the Plaza Hotel at the southeastern corner of Central Park and walk up 5th Avenue with stops along the main drag, in the park, and along side streets. We'll finish at around 92nd Street and 5th Avenue.

My wife, Lisa, and I, together with another couple took a private walking tour of 5th Avenue and the Gilded Age Mansions with Cicerone Travel. This was our second tour with this company and Jonathan, our tour guide. As before, Jonathan was fantastic. He is so knowledgeable about New York's fascinating history and provides a lot of interesting detail. He also happily responds to questions, often with fascinating color. We all really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend Cicerone Travel and Jonathan specifically. We already have signed him up for another NYC tour in September. Looking forward to that!
Cannot wait to see you again in September! Thanks so much and have a great summer!
Super informative. Jonathan is great. I'm from NY but learned so much about this neighborhood and time.
It was such a pleasure!!
Wonderful! Very informative and fun. Perfect all along and with a thoughtful ending. On my request, Dan focused on economic history. My son and I appreciated this.
Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed it!
Billy was great! Interesting, fun, patient (our train to the city made us late) and overall great tour guide.
We couldn't agree more! So glad you had a wonderful time!
