Private Transfert from and to Catania Airport

The driver made polite contact in advance and was on time at the airport. We were very satisfied.

The website lists this route at €170 for up to three passengers. I was quoted €190. When I queried the difference, I was told in writing that the price included IVA at 10%. I pointed out at the time that 10% of €170 is €17, not €20, and received no answer. I supplied my company details before paying and requested an invoice, repeating the request five times over three weeks. What I eventually received, after chasing, were two anonymous till receipts with no client details — both recording the service as “non soggette”, with IVA of €0.00. One also showed the wrong service date. The operator agreed in writing on 23 July to refund the €20 and issue a proper invoice. Neither has arrived. In my view, a tax that appears nowhere on the operator’s own receipts should not be used to explain a price above the advertised rate. Book with that in mind.

This was 10 star service!!!! The kindest gentleman picked me up and we had great conversation on the way to the hotel. I would recommend this company to anyone that wants a kind dependable driver. He will help you in any way possible. This is the one to choose if you are looking for the best service.

I booked this transfer 8 months ago. I emailed the company to ask them to confirm the transfer - if the date and time was OK and the hotel address. No response after 2 emails. As I edge closer to my departure I decided to try to get in touch again through phone messaging before I cancelled. I got a response and then I was told everything is OK. Then I asked - did you check the actual time I requested for a pick-up? I have an early morning international flight and need to leave just before 3am. NOTE - The excursion on Viator did say they operate - "Monday - Sunday : 12:00 AM - 11:30 PM". He didn't even pay any attention to the details I provided and only realised when I pointed out the departure time I requested. He then said he cannot do it because it is too early. So why post up false hours then? Update the hours to the time you are willing to do a transfer. Imagine if I did not perform my due diligence like most other travellers and then went ahead without confirming and waited for my transfer to the airport that morning and then nothing came because this person failed to provide the service. That would have cost me my flight home. No thanks - lack of care and communication and false advertising.

We booked private transport with Journeys around Sicily to and from our hotel in Taormina and Catania. Salvo picked us up at the airport and helped us with our suitcases on arrival. Salvo is incredibly friendly, helpful and happy to share tips and history about Sicily. He knows a lot and speaks English very well. He also remembered that I had back and leg problems on arrival which fortunately got better during my stay, and I think it was also because he helped us a lot. He drove the car down the hill in front of the hotel, so we did not need to go all the way up with the suitcases (the hill from our hotel to the road was very steep), and he also helped us roll our suitcases to the car. Unfortunately we did not have the time to go for a guided tour with Journeys around Sicily this time, but I will definitely contact Journeys around Sicily on my next trip to Sicily. 10 out of 10 for service, expertise and friendliness! Recommended!

Salvo picked us up from the Catania airport and also was our driver the next day to 3 towns. He was always prompt and had great knowledge of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. 5 stars!

Excellent reliable private transport from Catania Airport. Having chosen not to hire a car for our holiday in July 2022, we decided we needed a driver from Catania. After scanning reviews we chose Salvo. We booked Salvo on line, receiving excellent communication back. Although our flight was delayed, Salvo was there to greet us and took us without delay to Cefalu. A lovely drive and we learnt a lot about Sicily on the way. Highly recommended.

Hello. I used this Service for the transfer from Falcon (near Milazzo) to Catania airport. The driver was very kind, a very pleasant person with whom we chatted. It arrived early, the guide was great and the price honest. The Service also includes any stops at tourist spots along the way, e.g. Taormina. I would definitely recommend it.

Salvatore was excellent. Prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Spoke excellent English. Described the various landmarks we passed. Would highly recommend him.
