Private Transfer from Naples to Positano

My husband and I are so grateful to have been recommended to Local Tours Surrentum by friends who recently returned from their vacation in Italy. They had an excellent experience with Antonio their driver, and he in turn truly made our transportation comfortable, pleasant and stress free. The company you choose to keep while on holiday for hours at a time driving in a car is so important! We had the assurance that Antonio would be a good fit for us even prior to our departure, as he fielded all our many questions and requests, and handled adjustments we made to our schedule with ease and understanding. His english is excellent, he is soft spoken and has a great sense of humor. He is so knowledgable of the history, geography and culture as a narrator and guide. He made the hours of travel pass enjoyably. His driving skills, especially in traffic and on the winding roads, were never a concern. He was always patient and somehow kept us on schedule. He often planned or allowed for quick stops along the way to take photographs, stop to taste local fare or duck into the shops. We hired Antonio for our pick-up from the Naples airport to our Hotel in Sorrento, and he was waiting for us promptly at our designated exit when we arrived. We also used him for a full day of touring along the coast to Positano and Ravello. We took his advice, and wisely skipped over Amalfi and Capri to avoid the crowds from the cruise ships. Quality over quantity was our goal, and Antonio didn't disappoint. He had a warm rapport with so many of the locals wherever we landed. He navigated and cultivated a rich and extraordinary day for us. From the gardens and basilicas he made special note of, to the ceramic shops (meeting the design artist!), the fine linen and men & women's apparel, the restaurant choices all spot on, all so authentic, outstanding options but not ostentatious. In addition, we scheduled Antonio to drive us from Sorrento to our hotel in Rome. He had excellent suggestions to make stops along the way to absorb our time in between our morning check-out and late afternoon check-in in Rome. And importantly, had the foresight to connect with our concierge in Rome to be sure that there was no problem getting door to door service for us and our bags if the road was blocked/closed upon our arrival. (Which it was!) We could not have asked for a more professional, detail oriented and kind companion on our trip, Antonio felt like family by the end of our stay.

Tony was excellent. He arrived early, took great care driving us from Naples to Positano and he shared his love of the area with excellent stories and recommendations for things do and see.

Our driver, Ferdinando, was the perfect host. He answered all of our questions and gave us a safe and memorable drive to the Amalfi Coast. Bellissimo!

We booked months in advance so that we knew it was secured prior to arriving. They sent a message once I paid saying someone would be at the airport with a sign with our names on it. When we arrived no one was there and when I messaged them they responded saying we never said “OK” to the driver will be holding a sign message from months earlier. It did not need a response. So because of that they never booked us in…but still let our card to be charged. They did refund us the money but left us to find a last minute taxi that was WAY more expensive than we planned on spending. Just bad experience over all.

Our flight arrived late. Driver knew flight info, but didn’t adapt. No text to say he would not show. After searching for half hour, hired a taxi.

Driver was on time and called ahead to our Airbnb to make sure he dropped us off out in front of it.

The driver was ready and waiting for us at the train station , was helpful with our bags , drove perfectly and we had room for our bags

Benjamin was on time and met us exactly where he told us. He was friendly and accommodating. He efficiently took us to our destination. We were pleased with our booking experience with Viator. We spoke to customer service a couple of times and they were very helpful.
