Private Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace

Our driver today was Mr Guo. He helped us have the best experience today. We went to the Great Wall first and we were able to easily navigate ticketing and transport up to the wall thanks to Mr Guo. He provided us with some fresh bananas and water for a snack too, he even carried our backpacks!. We also got to go to the Summer Palace on the way home. Despite only paying for a driver, we got a really good tour guide. Mr. Guo went above and beyond. I highly recommend this service. The value for money is huge.

Jessica was an incredible guide for my friend and me, giving great historical background, taking good photos, and good pace. We would 100% recommend Jessica to anybody for this tour or any tour in Beijing!

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She met us exactly on time at our hotel lobby, which I thought my was going to be difficult to locate. Our driver had a large, clean and comfortable vehicle and drove very safely. It was really good to visit the Great Wall leaving downtown Beijing at 7am. There wasn’t too many people there when we arrived, but it was getting busier and the weather warmer by the time that we left around midday. We took the chairlift up and hiked the shorter steeper option, and it was fine with kids. We all loved the tobogganing back down afterwards. By the time that we arrived to the the Summer Palace it had reached about 30C, but there was plenty of shade and breeze to keep things cool. Having been here before, we strolled about casually without reaching the extents of the Palace, but it was great having historical detail being presented throughout for our understanding.

Alvin picked us up on time and we had a smooth drive up to Mutianyu. He got us quickly up to the wall and gave us ample time to explore. We had a break for lunch and he drove us to the Summer Palace. He took us on a boat ride around the lake and provided us with history and background on the palace and the grounds. He was very kind and helpful. I really appreciated having someone who spoke the language with us to help us navigate around the busy tourist attractions. He was a great guide and driver! I highly recommend!

Our guide Melody was great! She filled us ijn on a lot of history about the Great Wall, the former rulers of China and a lot of history of the Summer Palace as well. I wasn't feeling well at the wall and she was very supportive and helpful, going to get me water and making sure I was okay. I would definitely recommend this tour and Melody. Both the wall stop and Summer Palace were great!

The day was wholesome with a start at the Great Wall of China followed by a stop at the jade factory which was unplanned and ended the evening at the summer palace. Lili our guide was exceptional. She is pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. She suggested things as we went and was super accommodating.

What an absolutely amazing and Great (as the Great Wall) experience it was. Lili is super kind and always wanted us to explain us more and more about the fabulous Chinese History. We just love that. Also a very secure driving so yeah was a maximum nice day on Summer Palace + Great Wall. A dream come true. Thank you Lili for the photos too! :)

Fantastic day out. Recommend the short helicopter ride over the Great Wall. Lily was a brilliant guide, with excellent English , very knowledgeable and in an engaging way. She went above and beyond, not only recommending a great local restaurant for the evening and sending us a photo so we could easily find it, but organising an appointment at Apple so we could get my IPhone fixed and booking us (free) entrance tickets into Tianamen Square for the next day. A

Excellent under any perspective: driver was really good, safe driving, organized (he got rain coats and umbrella ready for us in the car), complete availability to wait for us even at the end of the tour for a late lunch, he also bought coffees and drinks for us so that we could find them on the car. Susan, the guide, was perfect: nice, professional, available and competent. And she’s an excellent photographer as well for your memories. Really recommend this tour.
