We took a full-day historical tour of Istanbul with Ibrahim on July 27th, and it was hands-down the best decision we made on our trip. If you’re looking for a private Istanbul tour guide who actually knows his stuff, book with Ibrahim — I cannot recommend him enough. His knowledge of history, architecture, engineering, and Islam was incredible. He didn’t just recite facts — he brought every site to life with real depth and context, and he’s got a million fun stories that make you forget you’re “learning” anything at all. Best history tour guide we’ve ever had, hands down. But honestly, what stayed with us most was Ibrahim himself. He’s just a genuinely wonderful person. At a couple of the sites, he stopped to chat with the guards and share bits of history with them too — it wasn’t for our benefit, it’s just who he is. That says everything about his character and his real love for passing on knowledge about Istanbul’s history. He was generous with his time all day, endlessly enthusiastic, and made the whole experience feel like spending the day with an old friend rather than a paid guide. If you’re planning a trip to Istanbul and want a tour guide who will make the history genuinely come alive, do yourself a favor and book Ibrahim. We left feeling like we’d gotten so much more than we paid for. Can’t wait to recommend him to everyone we know!
It’s always great to have a local friend while traveling, but Ibrahim was far more than just a local guide. Thanks to his prestige in the city we had so many extras during the tour. (You won’t believe how well-known this guy is in the city!) We didn’t wait long lines thanks fast track tickets he provided for us, in the restaurant they gave us complimentary baklava, ice cream and coffee!! He helped us to experience everything that we are looking for in the tour. Ibrahim is the only thing you need in the city!!
Istambul and Capadocia For a aventure and exploring, our guide Ibrahim is the best. Exploring the major sites and rare sites in Istanbul, old city, Galata and the oriental sites was excelente. Our guide was able to respond challenging questions, with knowledge and excellent arguments. In Capadocia we were able to see +- 2000 years old caves that very few people see.
Excellent, fun and very knowledgeable! Loved getting to know Istanbul with Ibrahim and enjoyed the off the beaten places he took us to. Very knowledgeable, interesting conversation, fun and attentive. I would recommend to anyone visiting Turkey. Lots of luck!
Our private guided tour was excellent. It was well organized, professional and very friendly and enjoyable. We all enjoyed our guide Ibrahim and his wealth of knowledge and charisma. Thank you Ibrahim!
What a beautiful experience in old town of Istanbul. I have seen all of these main spots with his lovely explanations. Especially Cistern and Hagia Sophia were so interesting. I thank him a lot again.
Because Ibrahim is both a Guide, he skipped some lines and made our tour better because he knew the opening and closing hours of the visiting points. Very good information, thanks Ibrahim.
Our tour with Ibrahim in Istanbul was just great! With his warm, open nature, he immediately made us feel like we were out with a friend. Ibrahim knows the city incredibly well – from the big sights to little insider tips off the tourist trails. We were particularly impressed by how exciting and understandable he explains history, culture and everyday life. Never dry, always alive and full of enthusiasm. He takes time for questions, adapts the tour flexibly and makes sure that you really understand and experience Istanbul. We can highly recommend Ibrahim – if you are not only looking for a guided tour but a real experience, you should definitely go with him! ✨
Excellent knowledge of the history and area. Wonderful with children! Spent 3 days in Istanbul sights and advice/recomendations on local venues/activities
