Itinerary
Grote Markt square is the heart of Antwerp. It is filled with gorgeous medieval guild houses, the City Hall and the Brabo Fountain in the middle. It also hides some interesting legends which our guide will share with you.
You will find out the history behind the Cathedral and its belfry tower — truly iconic treasures of Antwerp's skyline.
Antwerp has been known as the world’s Diamond Capital since the city's Golden Age. This brilliant museum is the right place to tell you the bright and the dark side of the gems trade.
The Steen Castle is the oldest building in Antwerp and has fulfilled several functions over the centuries, for example that of a prison. Our guide will share some interesting insides of the medieval prison life.
As the former Butcher's Hall and oldest guild house in the city, Museum Vleeshuis now tells a different story of sound, music and dance.
The St. Paul’s Church is truly unique place. It is the only church in the world which keeps within its walls the masterpieces of the 3 most renowned Antwerp masters: Rubens, Van Dyck and Jordaens.
Despite its function, the Red Light District is a safe area to walk around at night, though there are still some “spicy” secrets to share. On the guest’s request, this part of the tour can be skipped.
Built as a port storage, the Felix Pakhuis now houses the municipal archive. We will walk you through its distinctive interior ‘street’, which was constructed as a firebreak within the building.
We end the tour on the panoramic rooftop of the MAS museum, where the guide will still share with you some interesting facts about this remarkable building and the magnificent Port of Antwerp, one of the biggest in Europe. To finish the tour our guide will offer you plenty of recommendations on things to do in Antwerp to help you plan the rest of your stay.

Had such an amazing walking tour with our tour guide Luc.D. It was a lot more fun, interactive, informative than I expected! Enjoyed it thoroughly.
It was a very informative tour that I would definitely book again. So much knowledge that I never would’ve known. Would really recommend
After completing two legends tours solo earlier in my trip that were fantastic I booked one in Antwerp after meeting up with a friend. Our tour guide Tom was great and it was just my friend and I on the tour. Tom was local to the area and gave us rich history with banter that made the tour great. He gave personal history and I learned where the term jungle juice comes from. There was one other term we remember learning about somewhere near the basketball court but we can’t remember what it was. Tom showed us parts of Antwerp we didn’t even know about. He was great and would 100% recommend.
Excellent free tour, 100% recommended. We get out of the very touristy areas of Antwerp and it is another, equally interesting approach to the city. Beren, our guide, was fascinating and was able to answer all our questions about the city, always with a lot of humor.
Beren very good, very quick on his feet :-D
My name is Loui, and I visited Antwerpen with my wife and son. We had a wonderful tour with Luc D., and we truly enjoyed every moment. Luc was knowledgeable, polite, professional, and very pleasant throughout the entire experience. He shared the history and stories of Antwerpen in a clear and engaging way, making the tour both informative and enjoyable for all of us. His warm attitude, patience, and deep understanding of the city helped us appreciate Antwerpen much more. We highly recommend Luc D. to anyone looking for a thoughtful, professional, and memorable guide in Belgium.
Very nice guide (Luc). He addresses the questions and tells stories in a very engaging way.
Bears our guide told in a very friendly and clear way the ins and outs of Antwerp. It is definitely worth it and gives you a nice view of this beautiful city.
Tour guide Beren: The Dark Tour of Antwerp was an unforgettable experience that revealed the city’s hidden and haunting past in a truly captivating way. Our guide was incredibly professional, blending storytelling with historical facts that kept everyone engaged. What made it truly memorable was the eerie atmosphere of walking through dim alleys while learning about centuries-old crimes and legends. The tour was well-paced, accessible, and suitable for both families with older children and curious travelers. It offered a fresh perspective on the city, far from the usual tourist spots. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique and thrilling cultural experience. Bravo Beren!!!
Beren brought us closer to Antwerp in an exciting way, we were thrilled. He was also happy to answer our questions.
