Full day tour of the west of Sao Miguel was outstanding. Even with the weather starting out cloudy and a bit stormy at the elevation to view the volcanic lakes, Joao found us all the spots to see some amazing scenery. He accommodated our group of 9 wonderfully with two very comfortable vehicles. He and the other driver (also Joao) had so much information about the island, plants, wildlife and history. They were so willing to answer our many questions, which is such a benefit of a small tour like this. We chose the lunch included option and ate at a lovely little restaurant in the town of Lagoa. We loved visiting the beach at Ribeira Grande and seeing the black sand and big waves. We felt like this was excellent value for money. Thank you to the two Joaos!

I reached out through his website and he organized a fantastic tour for the seven of us of the western side of São Miguel, including Sete Cidades, the surrounding viewpoints, and even Lagoa do Fogo. João went above and beyond at every step. His passion for the island is obvious — he genuinely wants you to see, feel, and understand the Azores the way locals do. He made sure we didn’t miss a single highlight and added thoughtful touches throughout the day. We also enjoyed a wonderful lunch by the water, which made the experience even more memorable. Sete Cidades was easily one of the highlights of my time in the Azores. The landscapes feel almost unreal — standing at the viewpoints overlooking the twin crater lakes was absolutely breathtaking. The contrast between the blue and green lakes, surrounded by the volcanic crater and lush hills, is something you really have to see in person to appreciate. The tour was well paced and gave us time to take in the scenery, explore viewpoints, and visit the quiet village nestled inside the crater. It felt peaceful and untouched, with a unique sense of being inside a volcanic world. Every stop offered a different perspective, and the views from above the caldera were unforgettable. If you’re visiting São Miguel, this is a must-do experience. It perfectly captures the wild natural beauty that makes the Azores so special

Our visit to Lagoa das 7 Cidades was nothing short of paradise! The breathtaking scenery left us in awe. João was incredibly welcoming and friendly, always eager to share the island's hidden gems with us. We can't wait to return and relive this amazing adventure!
