Growing up on this side of river Tejo, I've been surfing since childhood. I'm a licensed surfer from the Portuguese Surfing Federation who loves the ocean and shares this love for surfing. I will keep you safe and challenge you to improve on the board in the magic Atlantic Ocean.

Excellent professionals Always attentive both adults and children 6/7 and 13/14 years This is the second time we took class and whenever we come to the coast of Caparica we will return to Gecko with great pleasure

Great first time on surf
We had an amazing experience with Gecko Surf School and Coach Marco! My husband and I took a private lesson, and it was our very first time surfing. Marco made the whole experience so enjoyable – he was not only super fun but also an incredible instructor who explained everything clearly. Thanks to his guidance, we each managed to catch a wave on our own by the end of our very first lesson! We can’t wait to come back for more. Highly recommend!

For anyone looking for a Surf school - this is it!
Great. Without any prior experience, it exceeded all our expectations - for 2 hours, we really disconnected from everything else, we were just there, enjoying it. We took 4 classes (with Dário) on consecutive days to enjoy the holidays, and it couldn't have gone better. Pedro, Dário and Marco's good vibes are contagious. I also highlight the genuine interest and concern, more than in selling classes/renting material, but in what we really enjoyed. For anyone looking for a Surf school - this is it!

Amazing experience!!
We took 4 semi-private classes on our vacation and we loved it! It was amazing! Our instructor was Dário (oh, I didn't mean to say 🤭) but it was a pleasure to meet Pedro and Marco too! Super friendly and captivating people who care about providing a pleasant experience to those who seek them. We left every class with a feeling of lightness, peace and good spirits. I recommend this school to anyone who wants to have a good experience, regardless of their age and the regime they choose - classes or rental of material (which is of very good quality). The stars are all deserved!!!

Fantastic Experience
My girlfriend and I had a private lesson with Pedro who was a brilliant teacher! He was easy going and very supportive, helping us both catch plenty of waves. Couldn't recommend enough, it has definitely been a highlight of our holiday!
