My best friend and I took her two kids (3 and 4) for surf lessons and Eddy and Johnny were the best instructors. They were so patient with the kids and kept them calm through the whole lesson. Also, they had gear for all sizes and really took the time to make sure the kids were comfortable with them before getting in the water. For anyone with kids wanting to get them started on their love of surfing, this is the company to choose!! 12/10
Don't know where to start to write about how awesome our experience was but I can tell you that we learned so much from him and he definitely has a unique way of teaching that he rides with you too. Fwiw we are advanced beginners and we caught a ton of waves almost riding for an entire minute back at times. Then we turn back and watched Eddie do something crazy like surfing handstands following us. Eddie is also a machine. His arms are propellers with two surfer in tow with his legs to break back through the surf. Insane. Above all, Eddie is such a cool dude. He exudes so much positivity to everyone around him with a new york flair. He was friends with everyone at the beach and shows that he cared for everyone. We genuinely appreciate the opportunity to meeting Eddie and his crew. We definitely know who to hit up next time for lessons when we return to waikiki.
I have been surfing with Eddie for almost 10 years and he has never failed to bring great energy & positivity to surfing! He looks out for you & helps you improve, whether you’re a first timer or looking to learn new skills on the board. Best instructor in Ala Moana / Waikiki / bowls / Rockpiles !
Moved to Oahu last summer and decided to take his lesson because a lot of local friends recommended it! We had no experience surfing and had never been far out in the ocean before, so we were a bit nervous. But Eddie, the instructor, taught us everything from how to ride the waves to ocean safety. Thanks to him, we could really feel and enjoy the ocean with our whole bodies. It was an amazing experience, and he even took great photos and videos for us, which made for wonderful memories! Eddie is such an awesome and fun person, highly recommended!
Eddie did a great job with our son, and he definitely spent some extra time to make sure he was successful. I could see that he wanted to see our son feel confident while surfing Great videos as well, we enjoyed watching their celebrations!
Eddie is the real deal! If you want an exceptional surfing experience, look no further! My daughter had her first introduction to surfing with Island Fiel a couple of years ago, she fell in love with it and couldn’t wait to come back to Oahu and do it again. Eddie an amazing teacher and a wonderful human being.
