Private Southwest Mauritius Tour

We had an excellent experience on the Private Southwest Mauritius Tour with Hritic from Paradise Signature Mauritius. Hritic was a fantastic guide — extremely knowledgeable, with excellent local knowledge that really added to the experience. He shared lots of interesting information about Mauritius, the places we visited and local life, while keeping the day relaxed and enjoyable. He was also great company and we really enjoyed the conversation throughout the tour. The whole experience felt personal rather than rushed or overly touristy. Absolutely amazing service! Hritik was incredibly friendly and professional from the start. He picked us up on time, took us wherever we needed to go and gave us great recommendations on the best spots and highlights around Mauritius. The car was spotless, smelled lovely and having water provided was such a nice little touch. We had a great tour with Hritik. He was able to tell us a lot about the island, the culture, and the people. He answered all questions professionally and extensively, whereby one never got the feeling of asking too much.

We were a group of four and had a fantastic day exploring the southwest of Mauritius with Dev as our driver and guide. Communication before the tour was clear and came well in advance, so we knew exactly what to expect. Dev picked us up right on time from our hotel in Grand Baie, and the welcome was warm from the start. He even had cold bottled water ready for each of us, which was a nice touch. Places we visited: - Trou aux Cerfs, the dormant volcanic crater with lovely views over Curepipe - Grand Bassin, the sacred crater lake surrounded by Hindu temples - A tea plantation, a great stop to learn about the island's tea heritage - Alexandra Falls, a stunning viewpoint over the Black River Gorges - Black River Gorges National Park, beautiful and lush - Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, the famous multicoloured sand dunes Dev never rushed us and gave us plenty of time to explore at each stop. He also took us to a lunch spot serving local favourites, which was a great way to try some Mauritian food. We opted out of the rum tasting, which Dev was happy to accommodate. Dev had excellent knowledge of the island and every place we stopped at, and he patiently answered all our questions. He was friendly all day and happy to adjust things to suit us. The drive was comfortable throughout, even with the distance from Grand Baie. Highly recommend this tour, and ask for Dev if you can!
