Fredy was very knowledgeable about beer and brewing and was a great guide for the tour. He even added a few extra stops given the timeframe we had! His trip is highly recommended.

A unique experience, a brewery tasting room inside an old Mexican Presbyterian church
One of my favorite breweries in San Diego, wide selection of different beer styles (pilsner, lager, IPA, sour, stout etc.). Wine is also available here.
A must visit location for lovers of Hazy IPAs
A beer bar serving beers from many local breweries. The Liberty Station location within a food/market hall, ideal if you want a bite to eat during the tour
A very nice tap list with a wide variety of beer styles. Don't miss their Peanut Butter Stout on Nitro!
Multiple locations, great place for some really hoppy IPAs
Located right at the harbour by Shelter Island, this is a great brewery for traditional German beer styles, as well as West Coast IPAs. Ciders and coffee are also available here.

Highly recommend Fredy's private beer tour. He picked up our group, 4 of us, at the location we chose and headed off on our brewery adventure. He allowed us to choose where we wanted to go. We started out at Eppig (our choice) and then we had him take us from there to places that would fit the styles of the beers/drinks we liked. We then went to Deft Brewing, which ended up being one of our favorites. After that we headed to Pure Project which had several unique and strong beers. Then last stop we went to Barley & Sword Brewing Co. I think our trip lasted over 4 hours. In my opinion you totally get your money's worth. Although you have to purchase all drinks/food on your own. I like this option because you get as much or as little as you want and you get to decide what you want to try not a tour guide. You don't worry about having someone be your designated driver, finding parking, the hassle about getting / waiting for rideshare etc. Also, Fredy's has so much knowledge about the area and what breweries to try, its perfect. It was also fun to chat about all the places and things that Fredy has done.
Thanks so much for your detailed review!
We had such a great time with Fredy visiting different microbrewery’s - the easy conversation, good laughs, and shared discoveries made the whole outing genuinely enjoyable.
Thanks for the excellent review!
Freddy was knowledgeable about beer and a great host. We went to four excellent breweries that we wouldn’t have visited on our own. We were on a trip with friends. We had our favorite and will definitely return if when we visit again. Would recommend this tour.
Thanks so much for your review! I'm glad to hear the tour is what you expected and all of you had some fun.
This customized tour was fantastic. Freddy was very knowledgable about beer in the area and his selection of stops for us was perfect for the beer we were interested in trying. Highly recommend.
Thanks so much Leslie, it was a fun tour and I'm glad you enjoyed the beers and the company!
Fredy conducts a fantastic tour. He’s very, very knowledgeable about San Diego’s breweries and the myriad of styles each has to offer. He’s very personable and loves to share his knowledge and love of beer. He personalizes each tour based on his customers’ knowledge, experience, and beer preferences. If we were to return to San Diego, our first booking would be a brewery tour with Fredy.
Thanks so much Dan, I really enjoyed showing you around our brewery scene. Enjoy the rest of your stay in SD.
This was a great tour for our time in San Diego. Freddy was great and knows the places to go! Would definitely go again, Tried new things!
Thanks so much for your great review, glad you had a good time!
Freddy was knowledgeable with where to go based on our preferences. He was funny and knew all the spots to go and avoid! Definitely a great booking!
We had the best day tasting beer with Fredy. From the time I booked the tour until he dropped us off, he was very accommodating to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He was prompt in picking us up at our hotel in a nice clean car. We let him pick the 4 breweries to go to and all of them were fantastic. Fredy knows his beers. Enjoyed his company.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. All the best on your cruise. Fredy
