Absolutely amazing! Sam, the owner of the sail boat, is very nice, he took good care of us and we even got extra time on the water. Absolutely recommend this private tour if you want to take close pictures of the Statue of liberty and Manhattan without any crowds. It was wonderful experience, we all loved it!
The experience is very nice. Sam is a great host, easy going, who let you comfortable. The sightseeing is amazing.
This was the highlight of the trip for me! I booked this for my husband’s 40th birthday and it was well worth it. We did the 6pm-8pm ride and that was the perfect time to go. We got to see the Statue of Liberty at sunset and it was dark when we were coming back in and we got to see the city in lights. The driver was super friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend!
What a great experience - Sam, our Captain who runs this entity, was so capable, experienced and accommodating on his lovely boat. We had reserved two spots and ended up having the entire boat to ourselves. Sam put two comfortable, zero-distance-to -floor chairs on the deck and helped us open our bottle of wine. He also gave us control of the music and was fun to chat with . What A great 2 hour experience I recommend highly - we sailed most of rge time andre views and sunset were the best.
This was a perfect experience. Captain Sam met us at the Marina gate right on time and brought us to the sailboat, which was larger (44 feet) and nicer than we had imagined it would be. Comfortable seats with backs were arranged toward the bow of the boat. Sam got us bottled water, explained the ins and outs of the sail, and we were off, initially with engine assist to get us out of the marina, then quickly switched to sail power. The views were great - nice breeze for sailing and lots of boat activity around the harbor. There is a bathroom on board which we didn't use, but nice to know it's there. When Sam "tacked" the boat to slightly change direction, no one had to move and there was no swinging boom to avoid. We returned to the dock two hours later. Having only five of us , with Sam doing all the work of sailing, seemed very luxurious. We are already planning our next sail!
This was a wonderful experience worth every penny. Sam was perfect - accessible, knowledgeable, joyful, and accommodating. His accessibility eased and lack of clarity and we knew where to go and felt confident in the experience before hand. It was timely and true to what was advertised. We had some weather crop up and Sam’s excellent understanding of the trends in the area and how weather moves there meant no caution needed to proceed, and he still let us make the final call. We brought snacks and drinks and just enjoyed the closeness of the harbor. The three year old may have had the best time. I’ve lived here for years and this was by far the coolest thing I’ve ever done. Would do it again.
Our family (ages 33-79) of 6 had a blast aboard Sam's beauty sail boat! Sam did it all! We just sat, enjoyed the views and our own refreshments! Communication & access were were easy - super guy - super boat!
It was an awesome experience to sail with Sam, the captain. He was a super nice guy who could share every piece of knowledge about NY Harbor. Whether you are looking to just enjoy the view with food and drink on the sail boat or learn some sail skills. I am sure you will be super satisfied, just like what I experienced. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try them if you want some unique sailing experience in NYC. you will like it! very convenient, I took subway 4, 3,2 to Borough Hall station, then walked 10 min to the marina.
I booked a two-hour sailing tour for my wife's 31st birthday. We had five total people in our group and we had the time of our lives! Sam was an outstanding captain who made sure we had everything we needed! If you're looking for a unique NYC adventure where you can BYOB and take some unbelievable pictures, please give these guys a chance, you won't be disappointed!!
