Private Lucha Libre : Mezcal tasting, Taco Tour or Mexican candy

When you search for this kind of tour (food, tequila, lucha libre) there are plenty on Viator, and it's hard to tell them apart. I booked this one because I figured they were all basically the same; I'd done it before with other companies and had a better experience. If you want a private tour to eat tacos, try mezcal or tequila and then go to the lucha libre, pick a different option on Viator. Our experience with this provider left a lot to be desired. The guide showed up late. The taco tour felt neither curated nor special. They took us to random corner taquerías. I get that the point of a "street taco tour" is to eat what Mexicans actually eat, but even there quality varies. The tacos the guide picked may be ones she likes, but at no stop did they feel like they represented the spectacular street food you can find. The low point was stopping for rib eye tacos with flour tortillas, guacamole and french fries. Enough said. Our seats were in row 18. You couldn't see a thing. On other tours I've sat between the third and fifth row. And finally, pay attention to this: my tickets said private transportation was included. There was none, at any point. I let it go at first, since it was a walking tour, but once the wrestling ended, what I had paid for was a private tour that would take us back to the hotel. Instead of apologizing or even trying to fix it, the guide spent her time "helping me understand" that I was wrong, even though my tickets clearly stated private transportation was included. When I filed my complaint, the provider "did not authorize" even a partial refund. It was Viator who refunded me. My recommendation: choose another tour provider. Book this one at your own risk.

We had such an incredible experience on the Frida Kahlo tour the day before that we asked Gabriela to book us a same-day tour for Lucha Libre and street food — and she didn’t disappoint! Despite the short notice, she found us tickets, organized everything seamlessly, and gave us another unforgettable experience. The Lucha Libre show was a blast and we learned so much about its history and culture. The street food tour afterward was equally fun, with amazing bites and great stories along the way. Book this combo tour if you’re in Mexico City, It’s the perfect mix of action, fun, and flavor. Our guide Gabriela made the night. She led us through an incredible local food spot, and steering us toward delicious local dishes. Then at the lucha libre, she explained the traditions and masks so we actually understood what we were watching. Patient, warm, and clearly loves sharing her city and culture. Gabriela was a fun and knowledgeable guide. We were only able to see a Lucha Libre during the World Cup, which was a challenge in itself. Gabriela let us know in advance that there would be a time change, worked out a new location for pick up based on our location, and made other adjustments to ensure we were able to enjoy the day. We had a wonderful time and the experience was so much fun. Highly recommend!

Went on the Lucha Libre and taco dinner tour with my family. We had a great time, my daughter loved the tacos and guacamole at a local market before the main event. Lucha Libre was so fun and Gabriela was a knowledgeable guide who made it special for the kids.

This was one of my favorite tours in Mexico City. Gabi picked us up and took us to a super cool restaurant for our candy tasting. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the city and its culture. We had a delicious dinner before the event. Our family of 4 felt very safe with her, even on a busy Friday night. The Lucha Libre was so fun and entertaining. A perfect last night in Mexico City.
