Galata Bridge is one of Istanbul’s most famous bridges, that spans the Golden Horn. The bridge was built during the reign of Sultan Abdulmejid II. It was made of wood, but it was restored and renewed repeatedly until another parallel bridge was built in 1987. Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the bridge, so some undamaged wooden boards were moved to land. It is a destination for sea lovers for meditating on the natural beauty of the sea. It is called the awake bridge as lights keep shining associated with sea fans’ traffic.
Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque - Camii) built during the reign of Sultan Ahmet I during 1609-1616. It is the only mosque in Turkey with six minarets. Due to its magnificent hand-dyed blue, green and white Iznik tiles it has been named the "Blue Mosque" by Europeans. The central dome is 43 m in height and is 33.4 m in diameter; it also boasts 260 windows.
Hippodrome (At Meydani) the backdrop of chariot races and the center of Byzantine civic life. Of the ornaments which once decorated it, only three remain: The Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine. The Obelisk is in the Egyptian style and was erected in 1547 BC and stood 60m tall. The German Fountain is also within the hippodrome area, constructed in Germany to mark German Emperor Wilhelm II's second visit to Istanbul; it was imported and officially opened on January 1 1901. The fountain's three domes are decorated with gold mosaics.
The Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsi) is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with more than 58 covered streets and over 1,200 shops. Opened in 1461, it is well known for its jewelry, pottery, spice, and carpet shops. Many of the stalls in the bazaar are grouped by the type of goods, with special areas for leather coats, gold jewelry and the like. The bazaar contains two bedestens (domed masonry structures built for storage and safe keeping), the first of which was constructed between 1455 and 1461 by the order of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror.The grand bazaar consists of 12 major buildings and has 22 doors.
Binbirdirek Cistern Which was built by Roman Emperor Theodosius II between 428 and 443 to store water supplied by the Valens Aqueduct (Roman Period water Reservoir ).
Hagia-Sophia is a truly awe inspiring, 1,400 years old Byzantine cathedral which houses mosaics, relics and iron work. Hagia Sophia was, for nearly a thousand years, the largest enclosed space in the world, and is still seen as one of the world's most important architectural monuments. It is one of Turkey's most popular attractions, drawn by the sheer spectacle of its size, architecture, mosaics and art. It was built during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century AD.

Communication with the driver Erme was outstanding we were met and driven to all the place mentioned on the itinerary. He was informative and knowledgable and took great care of us. The only feedback we would have is about an unscheduled stop at a carpet warehouse. We enjoyed the demonstration on how the carpets were made but felt somewhat intimidated by the “hard sell” of the salesman. We would encourage that stop be omitted.
We were picked up via nice car at the port and taken to an area to begin touring. There is a lot of walking but i believe this is typical with the amount of sites. It was awesome, at each site we saw we were able to not wait at all, went straight to the front of the lines on all of them, and it was well worth it, lines were long. We went for a great lunch with our guide and had a great day. i would highly recommend them. Thank you!
I have the experience of a lifetime beyond my expectations with Emre as my guide. We had an incredible days of cats and facts! We were picked up with Orhan and taken over the river and walked around Istanbul with cat food! It was a lot of fun. We visited 2 museums and due to tue heat frequently stopped for refreshments. We went down streets and beautiful alleys to stroke friendly cats and Orhan was the perfect host. As it was our twins’s birthday they were each given a toy cat too which made it very special. The second museum was bonkers! We had a great time and learnt a lot about the history of Istanbul and were very glad to see that the cats were very loved. Orhan gave is tips on what to see next too. Was a wonderful day! Our half-day tour of Istanbul was a delight thanks to Emre, of Istanbul Voyage Travel which we booked through Viator Tours. Emre is not only the guide he also drove us. He is very knowledgeable and told a lot of stories about the city, and kept us at a fast pace so we could see all that we were hoping to see plus much more.We saw and learned a great deal in our five hours.
