Itinerary
Topkapı palace is the earliest palace of Ottoman kingdom in Istanbul. And also accepted as the biggest palace museum in the world.
Hagia Sophia was built as a church and converted into a museum after the conquest of Constantinopolis. The building is used as a museum today and it represents both Islam and Christianity relligions.
Blue mosque is one of the highlight of Istanbul with its bluish tiles. And architecture of the building will impress you.
Visit the old roman stadium here. There are 3 pillars left to see today, and your guide will explain about the history behind of them.
Grand bazaar is known as the oldest and biggest indoor market in the world. Enjoy your shopping here
Home to some of Istanbul’s most recognizable attractions, the Sultanahmet District is an ideal place to explore the city’s complex history. With the rose-colored Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya) sitting across from the six minarets of the Blue Mosque and down the street from the energetic Grand Bazaar, this neighborhood packs in a wealth of culture.
Beautiful yet eerie, Basilica Cistern (Yerebatan Sarayi) isn’t your average underground well. Dating back to the Byzantine era, the huge cistern was built in the mid-500s on the former site of a basilica. More than 300 marble columns provide a grand, serene atmosphere to what was essentially subterranean water storage.

Our tour guide was great, however the tour we booked was supposed to be with private transportation and an air conditioned vehicle with waters provided so we dressed accordingly. Upon meeting our tour guide she informed us that there would be no vehicle and we would be walking and/or using public transport. We walked a total of 12.8 KM so beware of fraudulent ads as this is not what you will get.
So glad we (wife, myself and 2 kids) took the private tour. Worth every penny and gives you so much flexibility. Our tour guide was Cenk Mehmet Oztemel and he was outstanding. His knowledge of Turkish history and current world affairs was excellent and we really enjoyed his company. Very personable and trustworthy. We really enjoyed all the historical places. My wife and daughter absolutely loved the different bazaars and shops - Cenk knew were to get the best stuff and also where the cheapest things were. Also, a big thank you to the driver with the Mercedes luxury van.
