Private Historical Tour in Bhutan

My family had an outstanding private tour to Bhutan for 10 days with Excursion to Himalayas. The organisation was excellent, and the program was tailored to our wishes. Our guide, Sonnam, was simply superb in every respect, from his knowledge of Bhutan to his photographic suggestions. The driver, Sencho, was always helpful and very careful on the roads amidst several recent landslides. Both our guide and driver were attentive and kind to my daughters. The countryside is rolling green hills interspersed with high mountains and gorgeous Buddhist architecture. We were privileged to witness three festivals, which showcased some of Bhutan's culture. The festivals were visually spectacular. My daughters have travelled to about 45 countries. Thanks to Excursion to Himalayas, Bhutan is now their favourite country.

Mr. Mindu, Kinley (my guide), and Arpan (driver) truly went above and beyond to make my trip to Bhutan a memorable one. Kinley was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the journey, while Arpan was kind, courteous, and an excellent driver who always made me feel safe and comfortable. Dear Mindu Bhai, I really don’t know why I delayed my trip to this beautiful country for so long. But as they say, when it has to happen, it will happen. From the moment I landed here, my trip has been nothing short of magical. Having visited so many countries and met people from different walks of life, Bhutan has given me an entirely holistic sense of what life and happiness truly mean. Bhutan is perhaps not for everyone, but it is certainly for those who truly want to be one with nature and feel a part of it. And when it comes to your hospitality, words truly fall short. Tashi and Pema have been more than accommodating with every single request I made—whether it was arriving early to pick me up, keeping the vehicle neat and clean at all times, or stopping wherever I wished. From my rather random request to watch a local football match to stopping for a quick pani puri break, they obliged with such grace and warmth. Tashi, in particular, treated me like family and showed me Bhutan like a true Bhutanese. I could not have asked for a better companion to experience your beautiful country with. Your choice of hotels was absolutely perfect and made this holiday/work trip far more memorable than I could have imagined. And the icing on the cake was my stay at Dawa Hotel, where I was truly pampered to the core with luxury and warmth. Words fail to express the gratitude I feel for you, your hospitality, and the warmth with which you welcomed me. As I sit here at the departure gate, I honestly wish I had a few more days to simply soak in the beauty and serenity of your wonderful country. At this moment, I simply feel truly blessed to have you as a friend and a business partner. It is hard to say adieu, but every good time eventually comes to an end. Till we meet again very soon. Amazing experience from start to finish! The country itself is incredible, and our guide Ugyen and driver Tshering made it even better. They were flexible with our schedule while still ensuring we hit all the major highlights. We loved the thoughtful touch of providing traditional costumes for photos—it made the experience feel extra special. The cultural stories they shared gave us a deeper understanding of daily life and traditions. The owner, Mindu, even stopped by to personally meet us and gave us a souvenir, which was such a kind gesture. His encouragement motivated me to complete the full hike to Tiger’s Nest, something I wasn’t sure I could do. Having Nguyen hike with us made a big difference—we never felt rushed and were able to take our time. Climbing Tiger’s Nest was the highlight of the entire trip for me. We are extremely satisfied with this private tour and truly appreciated Mindu’s patience and prompt communication before the trip. Highly recommend!

A beautiful country. Our guide Kinley and driver Pema did everything in their power to make our trip comfortable, safe, pleasant and fun. The views at Dochu Pass exceeded our expectations. Tigers Nest hike was absolutely awesome. The people of this country are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this company. everything was well organized, the hotels were lovely and we wanted for nothing.

I recently had a short but memorable trip to Bhutan. It was planned by Excursion to Himalayas Tours. The experience was seamless. I had a guide (Tashi) who was extremely knowledgeable and ensured that I made the most of my short trip to Bhutan. A highlight of the journey was the hike up to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which was breathtaking and truly worth the effort. I also explored Thimphu. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
