Discover an authentic Northern Banya tradition in the forests of Vitosha Mountain, just 20 minutes from Sofia. Unlike a conventional sauna, this three-hour experience combines gentle heat, soft, dense steam, and traditional oak venik treatments in a private wood-fired bathhouse. Your personal banya master, trained in Saint Petersburg, will guide you through this centuries-old bathing ritual, adapting each session to your comfort and preferences. Between steaming sessions, enjoy an optional cold plunge, relax with tea and honey, and take in panoramic forest and mountain views from the terrace. More than a sauna visit, this is a personal introduction to Northern bathing culture — a distinctive experience that brings together tradition, nature, and relaxation during your stay in Sofia.

I personally meet guests in a white Mercedes with a Banya na Dache sign displayed in the windshield. Guests receive a photo of the vehicle before pickup. Alternatively, guests can arrive directly at Banya na Dache (J5PV+8M, Vladaya), where I will welcome them personally. Guests who enjoy hiking can also reach us on foot through the forest trails of Vitosha Mountain. We can provide hiking directions in advance.
