The next stop will be another Buddhist stupa. These stupas have evolved from burial mounds and serve as a shrine for a relic of the Buddha.
Tibetan Temple

This city is home to a large number of twentieth-century Buddhist temples built and maintained by Tibetan, Chinese and Japanese monks. This temple houses a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha or Buddha in a resting position. Famous for its Thangka or Tibetan Buddhist paintings, and frescoes, the Tibetan Temple showcases many of these on the walls and ceilings.

Last but not the least, you will be taken to a museum. Some notable images at the museum is of Buddha preaching, from the Gupta period, and the Lion Capital of Ashoka. Other objects like figures of birds, animals, male and female heads dating from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD and terracottas, decorated baked bricks and pots, images of Jain Tirthankaras Parshvanatha, and Vimalanatha, etc.

Positive experience in Varanasi
Overall positive, but the whole/half day tour seems to be quite tiring especially in a hot day. Himanshu is a great guide and very friendly.

Amazing tour
Himanshu was a great tour guide for me and my family! very informative, friendly and makes you feel welcome in Varanasi! the tour was worth the day spent especially if like me who was here for just 2 days. We were shown around many places and taken to a great breakfast and lunch spot

Fantastic local experience
You get to experience Varanasi with a local which is unbeatable. Boat trip on the Ganges was beautiful and the guide Himanshu is very knowledgeable and ensures that you know all the history. Would highly recommend :)
