Now a museum, Hagia Sophia was built in the 6th century by the Emperor Justinian, and was one of the largest basilicas in the Christian world. After the Ottoman conquest, it was converted to a mosque and is today one of the most magnificent museums in the world. Take a moment to linger here to admire the fine Byzantine mosaics
One of the most famous monuments in both the Turkish and Islamic worlds, the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (also known as the Blue Mosque) is a superb creation in the classical Ottoman style. The mosque has six towering minarets and 260 windows illuminating its vast main chamber, which is decorated with more than 20,000 Iznik tiles.
The largest and oldest palace in the world, Topkapi is the crown jewel of the Ottoman Empire. With its treasury and exotic buildings overlooking the Golden Horn, your visit to Topkapi promises to be a truly fascinating experience. (closed on Tuesday)
The Hippodrome, the stadium of ancient Byzantium, held 100,000 spectators and featured objects from all corners of the empire. Of these, an Egyptian obelisk and a bronze sculpture of three entwined serpents from Delphi survive.
In operation since the 14th century, the Grand Bazaar is one of the world’s largest covered markets, with 58 streets and over 4,000 shops. The bazaar is specially known for its jewelry, leather, pottery, spices and carpets. (closed on Sunday additional time will be spent at the other locations)

Ugur was a fabulous guide and a delight to spend the day with. He met us promptly at our hotel and we were on our way. We made stops at the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. Ugur was able to bring those places to life and able to answer any question that we had. He was also very flexible and allowed the day to take us where it did. We made a memorable trip across the Bosphorus to Kandikoy where Ugur guided as to an amazing place for a lunch amongst the fish markets. A trip back to Europe and a final farewell marked the end of a truly memorable day. I would recommend Ugur to anyone wanting a memorable tour through an amazing city.

We travel 2 to 3 times a year and always use tour guides to help with our daily activities but coming to Istanbul and having an amazing tour group like private guiding service create an amazing trip for us we will definitely be returning because of this tour group

We booked a tour of Turkey with TURKLAND Travel Agency our agent Ibrahim planned out our trip that included more than we expected. He did such a fabulous job along with the tour guide that stayed with us through our entire trip. Ibrahim from Turkland Tours exceptional efficiency meant we knew we were in good hands before we even arrived in Istanbul. Days before we arrived we received the necessary information for our airport transfer to our hotel in the city. Seamless. Our excellent guide Onur showed us around all the major city highlights and quite a few hidden gems over a couple of days. He left us with enough information to get around the city by ourselves for the next few days as well. Nothing has been a problem for either of them. Ours was a short 3 day trip to Istanbul. Mr Ibrahim made seamless arrangements from pickup from airport to sightseeing and final drop off at terminal. Our tour guide Ece had encyclopedic knowledgeable of Turkish history and culture. Led us on an enjoyable whirlwind tour. Loved every moment of stay. Great people to work with!
