Salim was an excellent guide for our group of 6 adults (family of 4 including my 96 year old mom and 2 friends), we highly recommend him and his Istanbul tour. We saw all of the top sites on our list-Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, the Cistern, Grand Bazaar, and he directed us to a fabulous restaurant with delicious, affordable traditional food. He gave just the right amount of history for the sites so we will be able to remember it, he was very flexible to accommodate what we wanted to see, and assisted us in making purchases in euros rather than liras so we didn’t have to exchange money. This is a must do tour and guide!

Touring Istanbul with Salim was certainly an excellent and pleasant experience, not only we visited Mosques, the Cistern, etc. but we walked its streets, tasted its typical dishes in restaurants for non-tourists, advised us where to shop and where not, told us a little history, we talked about religion .. in short were two intense days of great walks and beautiful moments!! Terrific two days in Istanbul with Abdul. Met us at our hotel, which he did did not have to do, as it was quite a ways out of his way. Such an enjoyable, entertaining, educational walk through all of the major sites - and some of the ones just off the beaten path. Took us to some of his favorite coffee, pastry and food spots and through some of the shopping areas. He was pleasantly surprised at the "homework" we had done, asking about going places people usually do not ask about. Just a great experience all around.
