From Aguas Calientes, you’ll take a scenic 30-minute bus ride up the mountain to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu. Don’t forget to bring your original passport and entrance ticket both are required for entry

Once inside, your licensed private guide will tailor the tour to your interests and pace. Depending on your preferences and entry time, you may begin with a short hike offering stunning panoramic views depending of the circuit.
Then, dive into the heart of Machu Picchu as your guide explains the fascinating history, engineering, and spiritual significance of this ancient site. Visit iconic landmarks such as:

Unforgettable Machu Picchu Tour with Joel!
Our private tour of Machu Picchu with Joel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we started, it was clear he wasn’t just a guide—he’s a true expert who’s passionate about the history and culture of this incredible place.
Joel brought the ruins to life with his stories and knowledge, pointing out details we never would’ve noticed on our own. He made sure we saw everything at the best times, avoided the biggest crowds, and kept the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
On top of that, he was super friendly, patient, and happy to answer all of our questions. If you want to truly appreciate Machu Picchu, Joel is the guide to have, wouldn’t do it again without him.

Edgar, our tour guide, was very friendly - met us at our train station (even though the train was late) just to give us a preview of the tour day. He was knowledgeable and humorous too. We had such a great time (also - he’s a great photographer too). Highly recommend!

Private Tour in Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu
I hired Willka Travel to organize the entire onshore part of our trip to Peru (Lima, Cusco and surroundings, and Machu Picchu) in July 2018. I was attended by Henrique (Brazilian) who, with great competence, programmed all the private tours in a van with a private driver, with guides in Portuguese, and with all the tickets to the attractions, including train tickets, etc. It was impeccable!
