Your day begins with a convenient morning pickup from your Cairo or Giza hotel. Upon arriving at the Giza Plateau, you will explore the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos using your interactive audio guide and insights from your expert on-site guide. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your visit with a camel ride or a venture inside the pyramids (available at an additional cost). The stop concludes at the Valley Temple, where King Chephren was mummified, bringing you face-to-face with the legendary Great Sphinx.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu
Admission not included30 min

Stand in awe before the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the oldest and largest of the three main pyramids on the Giza Plateau and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. During this 30-minute stop, you will get up close to this colossal architectural marvel, originally built as a grand tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. Learn about the extraordinary engineering behind its construction from your expert guide and interactive audio guide. Enjoy time to walk around its massive limestone blocks, take incredible photos from the base, and imagine the sheer scale of ancient Egyptian ambition.

Pyramid Complex of Khafre

During this 30-minute stop, your expert guide and interactive audio guide will bring the history of Pharaoh Khafre to life. You will explore the remarkably preserved Valley Temple—the very site where the king's mummification took place—and learn about the magnificent royal statues discovered hidden beneath its floors in the 19th century. Enjoy free time to walk among the massive monolithic granite pillars, capture stunning photos of the pyramid's distinct profile, and appreciate the incredible architectural scale of this ancient complex.

Pyramid of Menkaure
Admission not included10 min

Complete your exploration of the main Giza trio at the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest of the three royal tombs. During this 30-minute stop, you will marvel at the lower courses of the pyramid's exterior, which uniquely retain their original red granite casing brought all the way from Aswan. Your expert guide and interactive audio guide will share fascinating stories about the monument, including the massive vertical gash on its northern face left by a 12th-century sultan's failed attempt to dismantle the pyramids. Enjoy the slightly less crowded atmosphere to walk around the base, observe the three smaller subsidiary queens' pyramids, and take stunning photos.

Great Sphinx

During this 30-minute stop, you will marvel at this colossal statue—featuring the powerful body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh—carved entirely from a single massive piece of limestone bedrock. Your expert guide and interactive audio guide will unravel the enduring mysteries surrounding its origins, the story of its missing nose, and the significance of the Dream Stele resting between its massive paws. Enjoy plenty of time to walk along the viewing area, soak in the monumental scale, and capture the perfect iconic photos (including the famous "kissing the Sphinx" shot) with the pyramids serving as a stunning backdrop.

Unforgettable experience

We had a fantastic Quad Bike Tour around the pyramids. Simplified pick up at our hotel, great guide who was sweet and welcoming. On the Quad Bike tour we had 3 helpers with, who made sure we got taken good pictures and they made sure to give the trip excitement in the good way. We can definitely recommend the trip - it was fun and we felt in good hands all the way.

Operator response

Kære Charlotte, Mange tak for din fantastiske anmeldelse!

This is a must-do!!!

Punctual, charming pick-up and return to hotel. Collected bikes with short distance to ride on quiet road to get to desert. Bikes very easy to operate and quite manageable but tricky on some terrain. But that’s the fun! Great views of the pyramids, but I think the Sphinx too small/far to see. My son wasn’t confident and so had a guide sit up on front of his bike the whole way. Can’t recommend enough!! A must-do!! Great value.

Mediocre

We had a good impression of both the tour operator and the guides. IT SHOULD BE NOTED, HOWEVER, THAT THEY CHARGE YOU FOR GUIDES IN ITALIAN THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE. WE PROCEED WITH THE REFUND. Also be careful because they will force you to buy headgear to cover you from the sun (which you don't need because then we didn't wear them). Also there is a kind of shop mafia. They'll take you to stores so you can pluck.

A great experience

The quad biking experience around the pyramids is great. I believe it’s the cheapest that you’ll find too. Every time I’m back in Cairo, I bring new friends to do this experience with me. I’ve done it three times now.

Amazing but do pyramids first, quad bikes later

Excellent guide and must say we were thankful for also having a good driver (traffic in Cairo is insane and one will appreciate good and mindful driver more than anywhere else). Quad bike tour was really good and experience in itself. You go through some street where locals live which is an eye opener in itself, you pass many horse riders and then you get to drive across dunes in the desert with excellent views over the pyramids and the city of Cairo. Absolute adventure not to be missed. You get to do some jumps and driving on two wheels too (if you consent). Then we were taken to the pyramids area. The guide we had here was the best out of any guide we had later in Egypt (we had 5 different other guides). Lunch was eeally good too and we were picked up on time and dropped off at the aieport on time too. Our only suggestion for anyone would be to go to the pyramids first before all the crowds, and do the quad bikes tour later. It would not only allow to enjoy the pyramids better but also would result in a lot less traffic getting in and out and more time actual sight seeing. The heat kicked in too. You have power to tell your preference to the guide. Also unless you cannot do without shopping, try to avoid repeated suggestions to be taken to a shopping trip. Our guide was fortunately respectful and not too pushy (like others we experienced later). Also, in our opinion, it is not worth to pay and climb into the Grand pyramid as an extra add on. It is insane hot inside, very small steep corridor and no system. People keep pushing up or down as they climb in the very narrow space. All insane sweaty due to the heat. Unless this changes spare you money and time and admire the pyramids from outside. There is nothing but empty walls inside. The pyramid front restaurants can provide one of the best views anywhere.

Phenomenal Experience

Definitely list experience. We were collected at 9am from Hilton downtown (our guide was early waiting for us) and went straight to Giza. We had a tour guide and driver all to ourselves (for just 2 of us) not sure is this is the norm as we came here in the peak of summer (low season) but we weren’t complaining. Our tour guide was amazing, very attentive and helpful. Almost too helpful! Much higher than the service we usually expect. Not a bad thing at all! We were provided with sound advice on what to do and not do around the Pyramid sites. We ended up going inside the main one which was incredible. Our guide provided insight on all the sights and answered any questions. He is clearly experienced with photos as he took some amazing shots. We also had to make impromptu stops for sunscreen and a Cotten cloth (I forget what it’s called) to help with the sun, sweating & heat, which our guide facilitated with no worries at all! The ATV was a highlight. It was a bit confronting at first was there were 2 or 3 dead animals we had to ride past before we got to the desert. But this is to be expected right? Once we got into the open desert it was truly memorable. Our ATV guide (different to our main guide) was crazy - but in a good way & helped us make most of the dunes! Lunch was authentic & delicious. All in all a phenomenal experience. Best of all we still had the entire afternoon free to do other things.
