This garden dates back to 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. A classic Chinese Garden rich in history, you'll see a wide range of halls, statues, rock structures, water features as well as the famous Grand Rockery and Exquisite Jade Rocks.
Once called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits as well as the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler's store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here.
The Confucius Temple was founded during the Yuan Dynasty, when Shanghai was just a small fishing village. It was also the most prestigious learning institution, combining a spiritual temple with a top-rated school. A beautiful and serene site of gardens, halls, statues and an amazing complimentary tea ceremony.
Enjoy the atmosphere of east meets west or one of the new popular places. This area is rich in the history of China when colonial powers had a significant presence in Shanghai. It has unique architecture while bustling with people along tree-lined streets.
The Shanghai Bund has dozens of historical buildings, lining the Huangpu River, that once housed numerous banks, trading houses and consulates from all over Europe, Asia and the United States. The area highlights Shanghai's western influence in architecture and culture and today offers a beautiful walkway along the Huangpu River while learning about Shanghai's history.

Peggy our tour guide gave us a great experience in Shanghai! She was super flexible, and Mr. Wong, our driver for the day was very attentive to our needs! Thank you for making our Shanghai trip a very positive and memorable day!
We used this private tour during a layover of just a few hours in Shanghai, and it was a great way to get a taste of the city and see some of its key sights in a limited amount of time. Our guide, Peggy, was fantastic and really made the experience. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we got the most out of every moment without ever feeling rushed. A great option if you have limited time in Shanghai and want to experience the highlights. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide, Peggy, was excellent! Very knowledgable, very organized, very warm and cordial! Spoke perfect English! Great day for our family!
Impeccable service. From the reservation to the end of the visit. Our guide Troy was very attentive, professional, flexible, and patient. They adapted the tour to our liking and, by choosing a tour with a vehicle, we made the most of our day. Highly recommended.
We spent a marvellous day touring the sights of Shanghai with Krisy. Krisy was friendly, warm, knowledgeable and made the experience feel highly personalised and easy, despite the crowds in several places. Together with Mr Wong, our polite and efficient driver, they treated us to a truly memorable day. We would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic day in Shangai and could adopt the tour according to our preferences. Great guide with a massive knowledge, great tour, great day. Happy that we took this private tour. Can highly recommend it.
July 9, 2026: My wife and I splurged on the private tour and were so glad we did. As westerners we need local knowledge to help us understand what we are looking at. And Troy, our guide, was full of knowledge and what little he didn't know, he quickly looked up for us. We're full of questions, but he never tired of fully answering us. We passed on some of the venues in order to take our time through the sites that interested us most. The Buddhist Temple, the Bund, and the Yu Gardens were fantastic. We could have spent all day in each of these. I'd like to specifically mention Yu Gardens. I was expecting more flowers so was a little underwhelmed at the beginning, but after about 5 minutes, I was won over. We wandered around for over 2 hours and kept finding treasures around every corner. The dumpling lunch was another highlight. We went to a local chain restaurant that is set up like an American fast-food place. But the food was hand made and very fresh. The Shanghai-style dumplings were something we'd not experience yet and probably would not have found on our own. How exciting! This tour option gave us a good feel for the city and helped us appreciate it all the more. We could not be happier with our choice. And when we decide to tour another city, we will look for a guide from Jenny's Tours.
This tour of Shanghai with Jenny’s Tours was exceptional. My friend had never visited the city and we only had a day to explore so I wanted to make sure he got the most out of our day. Our driver picked us up at our hotel outside of the city (for a nominal fee) and delivered us to Apple, our guide. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about the city whether exploring the Old Town, Bund, French Concession or the modern financial district in Pudong. She knew the best place for authentic Chinese cuisine and we enjoyed a fantastic lunch of dumplings, soup and noodles. My friend is afraid of heights, so we didn’t go up to the top of any of the skyscrapers but instead parked where we could get great photos of them. Since we had some extra time, Apple suggested we visit a fairly new art district, AKE, developed on the site of a former factory, which was really cool and something new to me as a previous visitor to the city. Lots of eateries, fun shops, cool architecture and photo ops there and the perfect way to end our day. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Apple. And our driver was very courteous and prompt when picking us up throughout the day. He even provided umbrellas for the day when the showers came. Again, I cannot say enough about our tour and for me the key selling point was the option to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel outside of the downtown area. That really helped us save time and be more efficient with our schedule. But once we met Apple, we knew this day was going to be a home run, and it was! I highly recommend this tour by Jenny’s Tours.
Excellent service. Fantastic guide who gave us a local’s perspective of Shanghai. Driver was polite and friendly. Fully recommend this tour.
