Description
Take a stroll down through the supernatural realm of New Orleans. This private tour led by one of our local lore experts include the city's most famous voodoo queen. The walking tour takes you through the French Quarter and explores many famous locations. Your group will discover the architecture of the French Quarter and visit the home of Marie Laveau, the powerful priestess who practiced the religion in and around the quarter in the 1800s. New Orleans’ history and culture are ever-present in the colorful homes, above-ground tombs, and voodoo legends that you will unearth on this mesmerizing tour. While we do visit the outside of St. Louis Cemetery #1 and explore cemetery topics and grave culture, we do not enter any cemeteries on this tour.

Itinerary
30 min
Meet your guide at the Witches Brew Gallery in the French Quarter 30 minutes prior to tour to start your voodoo and cemetery walking tour of New Orleans.
French Quarter
30 min
As you stroll through the streets of the French Quarter, learn about New Orleans history and the classic architecture around the city. Walk by shotgun homes — one of the most popular styles of Southern homes in the early 1860s — as well as Creole townhouses. Along the way, hear more about the city’s legendary voodoo practitioners such as Marie Laveau. Many New Orleans residents believe in the religion, and various ancient traditions and rituals are still observed.
Bourbon Street
Bourbon Street, located in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans, is known for its many bars and clubs. With over 17 million visitors annually, it’s no secret that it has become one of the main attractions of the city.
Congo Square
Congo Square is an open space within Louis Armstrong Park, which is located in the Tremé neighborhood of New Orleans. The Tremé neighborhood is famous for its history of African American music.
Louis Armstrong Park
30 min
Your guide shares stories of large gatherings that took place here in the 1800s, including voodoo rituals.
Please note: Expect to walk at a leisurely pace and cover about one mile during your 90 minute tour. Comfortable walking shoes and water bottles are recommended.
Voodoo Authentica
Since the 1990s, Voodoo Authentica has been crafting handmade voodoo dolls, gris-gris bags and more from Dumaine Street in the French Quarter. This is just another legendary location that visitors are pointed towards during a Witches Brew Tours voodoo tour.
Jackson Square
The beautiful landmark known as Jackson Square is named after the legendary General Jackson who led soldiers to victory during the Battle of New Orleans. On a Witches Brew tour, you’ll pass this location and get to view the statue of Jackson.

Spooking through NOLA with Spooky
I’ve been on NUMEROUS ghost tours here in New Orleans and this is one of-if not THE-best! Spooky Rob was our tour guide and you can tell that he is a NOLA native. He shared his personal stories as well as the historical information about the city. HIGHLY recommend going here as well as requesting Spooky Rob!

Best of the best - join the tour for lots of great stories
Our tour was the VIP small group walking tour which was lead by Mac.
He was an incredibly informative guy who kept us all engaged in the stories about the ghosts of New Orleans and the world of voodoo.
Comfort breaks were built in for bathrooms and drinks - Mac looked after everyone to ensure they were comfortable.
A fabulous, historical tour not to be missed

It was eh.
Our guide was nice, but was a bit long winded. We found the tour boring and misleading. We couldn’t go into the cemetery, as that is only done by a different company and our guide didn’t always answer our questions.
