Itinerary
To begin our amazing adventure our guide will pick you up at your preferred hotel, resort, residence or airbnb in San Juan, Isla Verde and Condado (Although hotels in Rio Grande or Fajardo may not qualify, we can arrange a convenient meeting point near your accommodation for your ease and comfort). The schedule will be from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm or from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Both schedules have been strategically chosen to beat the crowds created by the large groups of other companies to make it more comfortable and safer for you.
Upon arrival, our certified tour guide will lead you through this amazing secret spot of "El Yunque". In this area you will explore through the mud trails and lush green of the rainforest. The hike will take approximately 1.5 miles in total and will take approximately twenty minutes to reach the first bathing area and another fifteen minutes hiking on rocks to get to the water slide. We’ll spend around 2 hours inside the rainforest where we’ll be swimming, swinging from the rope like Tarzan, sliding down a natural waterslide, cooling off under the waterfall and jumping from different cliffs.
Once the experience is over each member of the group will be taken back to their accommodation or meeting point.

(Ages 10 to 60) **Key Information** Unlike other tours in the same area offered by competitors, our tour operates at strategic times that allow us to avoid crowds and long waits. While other tours can last over 8 to 10 hours due to lines and high visitor traffic, our 5-hour tour lets you enjoy all the activities with less waiting time. You won’t miss out on anything. It’s like having a Fast Pass at Disney parks! [Step 1]: You can choose between one of our two options: From 7:00 am to 12:00 pm or from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, whichever is more convenient for you. Guests staying closer to El Yunque (Luquillo, Fajardo, Río Grande) have a later pickup time (around 12:30PM).We’ll confirm your exact pickup time the day before. Feel free to contact us with any questions! [Step 2]: You will be picked up at your preferred hotel, resort, residence, Airbnb or Cruise Port in San Juan, Isla Verde or Condado (Although hotels in Rio Grande or Fajardo may not qualify, we can arrange a convenient meeting point near your accommodation for your ease and comfort). [Step 3]: Your guide will contact you the day before the activity in the evening around 7:30 pm via text message to provide you with your pick-up time and you must sign a digital waiver before starting the tour. [Step 4]: Before your pickup, please be sure to put on your bathing suit, sneakers with good grip and bring your towel and an extra set of clothes with you to dry off and change after your tour. Note: No Yeezys slides, Crocs, sandals or water shoes allowed (too slippery for this hiking). [Step 5]: Please make sure you are ready to board the vehicle at the pickup time set by your guide. Drivers will wait no longer than 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. Our tour guide will text or call you when arrived at the agreed location. Important: Our activity is designed for people between 10 and 60 years old with excellent physical condition. You have to be able to walk by your own in uneven surfaces. For safety reasons, people who are overweight, have previous injuries, are pregnant, or have health problems are not allowed to participate. Evidence of age via license or birth certificate will be required to ensure compliance with these requirements. Furthermore, no exceptions or refunds will be made to those who fail to comply with these conditions. (Cruise Ship Pick Ups) • For this tour please ensure you're outside the cruise ship and ready to get into the vehicle before 7:00 am or 12:00 pm to avoid missing the tour. (Keep in mind that disembarking could take around 30 minutes to an hour.) • Once off the cruise ship, we will meet you in front of the 'I LOVE PUERTO RICO' sign at the agreed-upon time. We look forward to making your Rainforest experience memorable!” • If you choose the morning tour, please confirm your cruise departs from Puerto Rico after 1:30 pm to guarantee timely arrival. For the 12:00 pm tour, kindly verify that your cruise departs after 6:30 pm to ensure a smooth arrival.

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- IMPORTANT: Our activity is designed for people between (10 and 60 years old) with good physical condition. You have to be able to walk by your own in uneven surfaces. For safety reasons, people who are overweight, have previous injuries, are pregnant, or have health problems are not allowed to participate. Evidence of age via license or birth certificate will be required to ensure compliance with these requirements. Furthermore, no exceptions or refunds will be made to those who fail to comply with these conditions.
- Participants must be physically capable of walking thru steep, rocky, muddy and uneven surfaces without assistance.
- This tour operates based weather and river conditions. In the event of poor weather, you will be offered an option to reschedule or refund.
- Use of lifejacket and helmet is mandatory.
- On Saturdays the hike is around 15 minutes longer since we depart from a different point.
- Tours Hacker reserves the right of admission - If a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not following instructions, causing disruptions, or providing false information, such as lying about their age, the guide has the right to cancel their reservation at any moment. In such cases, no refunds will be issued. We prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all participants and expect honesty in all aspects of the booking process.
- Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour.
- Minimum of 4 people required per reservation
- Personal Belongings Policy for the Rainforest Excursion: At our Rainforest Excursion, the safety and experience of our guests are our top priorities. Due to the nature of the activity—which involves hiking, water contact, and constant movement in a natural environment—we strongly recommend that participants do not bring any personal belongings unless absolutely necessary. While we do allow the use of prescription glasses for those who need them for vision, all other personal items should be left in a secure location before the excursion.
- Liability Waiver: Our company is NOT responsible for the loss, damage, or misplacement of any personal belongings during the excursion. We understand that the nature of the tour involves activities that may increase the risk of losing items, such as walking on uneven terrain, swimming in the river, sliding on rocks, and jumping into the water. If a participant chooses to bring personal items, they do so at their own risk. We will not be able to stop the excursion to search for lost items in the forest or river. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that everyone enjoys a worry-free experience.

I cannot say enough amazing things about our private El Yunque tour with Tours Hacker and our guide, Javier. This was hands down one of the BEST experiences of our entire vacation and a day our family will never forget! We did it ALL — waterfalls, natural water slides, rope swings, beautiful scenery, and so many fun adventures along the way. But what really made the experience incredible was Javier. He was knowledgeable, patient, fun, attentive, and made the entire day feel completely personalized to our family. One of my favorite memories was watching Javier help my mom make it all the way to the waterfall! I honestly wasn't sure she would be able to do it, but he was so patient and encouraging with her and made sure she felt safe the entire way. Beeing with her there was such a special family moment and something I will always remember. Javier also knew exactly where to go, how to make the most of our time, and made the entire experience feel like an adventure with a friend rather than just another organized tour. We laughed, explored, challenged ourselves, and made some incredible family memories. It was my ten year's old first hike, and honestly without Javier it would not have been possible. She did amazing! We travel quite a bit and have done many tours and excursions, and this one truly stands out. Michael was such an excellent and interesting guide, I am very glad that we booked with them. He clearly cares deeply about the rainforest and the experience of his guests - I am happy we were able to see this beautiful environment through his eyes. This park can get crowded, and after an initial rounding of the corner and seeing so many people we were initially hit with ‘what have we done’ - as this is the experience we were not after. But Michael graciously navigated us through and we quickly forgot and almost appreciated the others around us. It’s clear that all the other guides knew and respected him and we couldn’t have selected a better guide. The private tour here is the best choice.

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico. I have two sons and we tried to see as much of the great Island as we possibly could. The trip we booked with Tours Hacker was the highlight of our trip. The tour was so fun and Michael was amazing!! More scrambling and climbing than anticipated, which was great for us, but something to keep in mind for older people. Michael was also very knowledgeable and shared fun facts about the rainforest, plants and reptiles. I recommend leaving any big jewelry at home because you will be using your hands to climb and your earrings might get stuck on the helmet when you're going down the water slides.

We so enjoyed our private tour with Adrian. He was knowledgeable about the area and very fun to explore with. The natural water slides were amazing and waterfalls were beautiful. The tour company was very easy to work with and the communication was great. We loved it.

I’m so glad we booked the smaller group tour (we had 6 total people vs’ groups of 20+ that we passed). We had an amazing and unique experience with this tour! From start to finish our guide Michael was professional and friendly. He was very knowledgable about the rainforest and pointed out interesting things along the hike. We were also given protective gear for the hike, which many other tours didn’t seem to have. Michael made sure that we all were safe at every point and even cheered us on to encourage big jumps off the cliffs! He took pics of everything and sent them to us so we could just enjoy and not need our phones. The whole trip was unbelievable, my teens had a blast, and although we are gettting older as parents we did conquer the tough climb up the rocks to slide down the falls (with Michael’s help of course)!

If you do any tour while in Puerto Rico, do this one! Our guide Michael, was absolutely hands-down the best we’ve ever had on any vacation. He was thoughtful, engaging, made sure he put safety first, and most of all allowed us to have a lot of fun. There were only four of us on this tour and with life vests on, we swam through caves and did some cliff jumping. We were able to stand in the water, so don’t worry. Transport was on time and easy, and the tour was well worth the price. It was an unforgettable experience that my two teen children, husband, and I will never forget.

This was a phenomenal experience. It was great especially bc it was a private group, in an air conditioned car picked us up right from the San Juan cruise port. The father and son duo of tour guides were knowledgeable and very professional and friendly. The son took all our pictures and videos on a nice camera so we didn’t need to carry a thing. We got to do the water slide, rope swing jump and cliff jumps. The hike was definitely not for the out of shape though, we did have some climbing and rocks were slippery in some areas so I wouldn’t recommend for elderly or disabled. I am not very fit and had to stop for quick breaks but it was worth the effort to get to the waterfall and slide. I highly recommend!
