At 5 or 6 am, your driver will pick you up and head for Haridwar, which is about a 5-hour drive. Your first stop will be Har ki Pauri. Trusted to be one the holiest Ghats in the country, Har Ki Pauri is supposedly the first place where Ganga touches plains, leaving behind the pristine ranges of the Himalayas. The ghat is also known as the Brahma Kund where you can view the stone which has an imprint of Lord Vishnu’s foot, as pointed out by the name. You will also explore two bridges in Rishikesh. First is Lakshman Jhula, the popular hanging bridge across the holy river Ganga. This 450 ft long Jhula is built at a height of 70 ft from the river and is about 3 kms away from the main town of Rishikesh. The other bridge is Ram Jhula which is the iron Parallax Bridge on the river Ganga in Rishikesh. Ram Jhula is the newer bridge named after Lakshman’s brother, Lord Ram.

You can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) before visiting Sivananda Ashram, Parmath Niketan Temple, Gita Bhavan, Swarg Ashram, Ma Anandamayee Ashram, Sapt Rishi Ashram, and The Beatles Ashram. In the evening during sunset, you will visit Ganga Aarti at Haridwar. Thousands of sects visit the ghats of the Ganga at Har ki Pauri at Haridwar to witness the aarti that started several decades ago. The tradition continues unabated and is a sight to behold. It takes place on the other side of the banks where you will see the priests light up the lamps in a clockwise manner, accompanied by songs in praise of Mother Ganga. After the ritual is complete, devotees will cup their hands over the flame and raise their palms to their forehead in order to get the Goddess's purification and blessing. Finally, head back to New Delhi and get dropped by at your hotel at around 9pm.

Ganges journey

Ganges journey

Very seriously explained, even if the language is not understood, they will wait for us even if there is a translation 👍 Also, the horoscope analysis was super accurate, so let's buy crystals, I hope it's useful and not too expensive. Even on rainy days, he patiently explained each scenic spot and made sure we understood 👍

Tour of a different world.

Ajay was a great tour guide! He took us on a walk to a beautiful beach with sparkling sand and cows that bathed in the sun. Such a magical place.

Great walking tour!

Ajay was a great tour guide. He took us to some beautiful places including a beach with sparkling sand! It’s also not every day you’re on a beach and there’s a cow laying in the sand soaking up the sun.

Excellent tour in Rishikes and Haridwar

I took part in a fantastic tour in Haridwar and Rishikesh, the sacred sites of the Ganges River, which had a particularly positive effect on me. I was able to discover the sights of both towns with the help of the excellent guide Ajay. It was an excellent program, I can only recommend it to everyone!

Incredible, must visit in India

Our day trip to haridwar and rishikesh was incredible! This was an unmissable experience in India. What made it even better was our tour guide, Ajay. He took us to amazing places, was very knowledgeable and very kind, welcoming and friendly. He didn’t rush us in anything and was easy to talk to and understand. Ajay is a wonderful guide! He answered all my many questions with good humor and lots of information. The scenery is amazing and the many temples and religions were lovely to see and learn about. It was a great day, well worth the drive. Highly recommended!!

Great.

This tour is wonderful and the organization was perfect. We had a little glitch at first, but the organizer did well to meet our request. The day is long, but rich in beautiful scenery and moments.

Interesting your but perhaps too much driving from/to Delhi.

An interesting tour, but a long drive (4 hours each way from/back to Delhi). Visited the various Ghats and Ashrams which were included on the tour, and also a Hindu temple (Glass Temple) which was unlike any other I have visited. I felt the tour could have been shortened as there was quite a time gap between the earlier visits and the start of the evening Aarti ceremony. Pickup arrangements were all fine and good driver and guide.
