It was built in 1966 as part of the now-demolished Divis Flats complex, which comprised twelve 8-story blocks of terraces and flats, named after the nearby Divis Mountain. The tower, a vertical complex of 96 flats housing approx 110 residents, was designed by architect Frank Robertson for the Northern Ireland Housing Trust.

Enjoyable and fantastic city tour

Private tour of Belfast
We prefer, when we can, to take private tours when we cruise. The risk is not knowing the people you are contracting with- will they be there, on time? how competent are the guides? can you contact them if there are problems? Belfast Tours NI excels in all categories. The company responded promptly to every question we had. Our guide was waiting for us at our ship, early. He was knowledgable about all aspects of Belfast history and culture, and was passionate in presenting what he loves about his city and country. Fantastic tour guide Jimmy!
Had a fantastic tour with Jimmy! He was so knowledgeable and explained in detail the troubles in Northern Ireland. It was so personal and can't recommend him enough as a tour guide. We could have spent all day with him!

Outstanding experiences!!!
My son and I have had the pleasure of enjoying two wonderful days with Murat! Although the weather did not cooperate, today was a fantastic day. An insightful look at our shared history against current times
Collect from Cruise terminal by Paddy Campbell's Black Cab Tours, driver Damien was fantastic, so knowledgable, so much more info than we could remember, but we were totally fascinated with the subject matter which was The Falls Road and the Shankill Road area's. We had no idea how people still live in this area, such an eye opener. We were given permanent markers to sign the wall, its all very sobering but an absolute must if you are visiting Belfast. This was definitely the highlight of our UK cruise, and we tell everybody we can everything we remember. I would most highly recommend this company for this tour.
