Private Beach and Mountain Buggy Tour in Guanacaste

The tour was fun but fell short of expectations as it did not match the tour description. We were supposed to tour the coast, stop at ocean lookouts and for a swim. I messaged the tour operator the morning of the tour to verify we should wear bathing suits and they said yes. We did not go anywhere near the coast and did stop to swim anywhere. We toured rural inland dry river beds and stopped in a cool little town for empenadas which were very good. The tour guides were nice. We've done many tours through Viator and have loved all of them. This time, something went wrong.

What an amazing FUN experience. My husband, 7 year old daughter and 64 year old father had a blast. Miller was our tour guide and we went early January. He picked us up from our AirBnB and drove us to the buggy location. We were fortunate and had no one else booked for that day so it was our buggy and Miller + driver buggy. Miller asked us if we wanted to do more jungle + beach or just jungle and a look out. We opted for look out, and WOW what a lookout it was. The driving conditions were awesome - creeks and rivers, uneven roads, uphill, downhill, you name it, we drove it. We stopped here and there to see some monkeys, birds, grab a little snack at a small store, and even a spot where you can jump into a waterfall. The stops were also appreciated as we could switch up drivers. The buggys are very impressive in terms of capabilities and I would highly recommend this excursion.

The tour guides were amazing. They knew the best places for photos and videos!! Our favorite adventure of our trip!! Would recommend this to everyone!!

This tour was awesome! Milo the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us extra time and allowed us to make stops to take pictures anytime we wanted to. The river crossings we need were really cool. Thumbs up all the way. I would totally recommend.

Our guide Alex was great. We had a fantastic time! I highly recommend using them for the ATV/buggy ride.

Best knowledgeable guide, loads of fun, excitement paired with incredible views and local food. What more could you ask for?

EDIT: It may have been a misunderstanding. My emails apparantly did not arrive at the right adress. Miller contacted me and we negotiated 200 dollars refund. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bad experience! Me and my two friends paid about 600 usd in advance. At start of the tour we have found out that it was just for one buggy (really). So we asked for extra vehicles and we got 2 buggies and a 4wheeler. We were able to get those three for 791 dollars. During the trip one buggy broke down and we could not use it. We were promised a refund. Waiting, some emails, nothing happened. They just stopped answering. I called the guy and he promised me a refund again. Nothing happened. No money returned, no answers send. Expensive and unreliable. Run by liars.

What a great way to visit a new place. Driving around on those back country dirt roads gives a good feel for the land. Can't say enough good about our guide, Alex. Made many stops along the way where he would explain to us the native flora. Saw a good number of critters as well , including a couple varieties of monkeys. Alex really made the trip! You could feel his excitement when it came time to tell us things. Highly recommend this experience. You won't be disappointed.

Fun tour of the area including city, mountains and beach. Saw howling and white faced monkeys along the way. Stopped at a local soda for lunch and the food was outstanding. Fun activity.
