AJ was the absolute best tour guide. Instantly my party and I felt that he was there to ensure we had a great time and we did. He did not rush us. The Bahamas and specifically Nassau is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. The last few times I’ve booked with LuxtonAce and they did not disappoint. I booked luxtonace and was picked up by AJ(he owns the company). I was a solo female first time traveller to the Bahamas. AJ picked me up and on our way to the hotel he asked if I could add him to my reservation so he could pay me for 2 nights and get the wrist band to get access to the resort. I agreed and paid for him however after paying he refused to pay me back. He tried to make advances at me which I turned down. He is a married man but wanted to get with me so bad!. My refusal made him upset and didn’t want to pay me back my money. I unfortunately paid for a return transfer and he also dropped me off at the airport I felt so terrible during the trip as I felt scammed. He is very unprofessional and i regret booking his services. I do not want this to happen to anyone else please be careful and stay safe out there!
Cindy3581, You booked transportation services with us on 10th of September 2021, for Private Airport Transfer from the airport to your hotel after having reviewed our advertisements and testimonials on social media. We gave you the option to pay the discounted $100 fee directly through Zelle or to book through Trip advisor at a higher price, and you choose to use Zelle. You also requested that AJ, be the one to collect you from the airport at 1pm. Even after we communicated to you that he was booked for another job upon your arrival, you insisted that you would wait at the airport until he had completed his present job. AJ did collect you a short time after your arrival to the Bahamas and transported you safely to your hotel. As a tour company we are always looking for new and inventive ways to advertise our company and to always show off the more attractive scenery of the Bahamas. From time to time our guests assist us in obtaining these breath-taking photos or videos by allowing us to get greater access to various areas of the hotel and its property that are restricted only to guest. This has proven to be the case especially during this time of COVID. On being transported to your hotel, you were asked to assist us in this regard, and you agreed. You offered to change your hotel booking with an additional person for two nights at the front desk so AJ could obtain a band to access the hotel and pool area for this purpose. But the hotel declined and said you will have to add the other adult for the additional five nights which you agreed to even after AJ had insisted that you not bother to pay as he was only able to afford to repay you for the additional nights at that time. In exchange for this kind gesture, we offered you a discount on our private city tour which we normally conduct for a minimum of 2 persons at a cost $110. You took the offer and agreed that it would cover the cost of the additional two nights that you paid for to obtain the access band for AJ. Later that evening you had a change of heart and communicated to us that you changed your mind because you though you were not getting anything from the agreement for the tour we were offering you. You insisted that we give you a free tour and also reimburse you for the changed booking. We indicated to you that this was not possible and offered to either reimburse you the $200 you claim you paid to obtain the band and forfeit the tour or take the tour at the discounted price. You chose to have your money reimbursed to you. That night we immediately reimbursed you $100 in cash with the agreement that the balance would be returned to you upon your departure. You once again requested our services again on Wednesday while you were in the company of other guests. You requested a private city tour for yourself and for 2 other guest to tag along. We agreed that it was possible so long as you did not mind because it was in fact your private tour. One of your guests (a gentleman) did not wish to tag along for free and therefore paid $100 for himself and his (Adult) daughter, A fee which was way less than our normal tour prices, you however never paid for your tour. After having transported you and your guest back to the hotel, you again insisted on being reimbursed $100 for the changed booking, even though you never paid for your private tour. Seeing that you did not pay, it is our assumption that you accepted to forfeit the $100 balance owing. You continued to use our services without complaint and request AJ’s services even though you had the option of using a taxi or another transportation company. You called our company the following day and requested AJ to collect you at 11:30am from your hotel and drop you off at the airport for your return flight to the U.S., which he did. He even offered you the sum of $50 explaining to you that this was out of his pocket and that doing the tour meant you had forfeited the funds and you declined the offer, insisting that you wanted the $100 or you were not leaving the vehicle. At this time you did not indicate any disrespectful or inappropriate behavior by AJ which you are now claiming. No complaint was ever made by you to us, to your hotel or police about AJ at this point. After you were collected from your hotel AJ re-routed his journey to the airport twice to find a restroom for you after which you were taken safely to the departure terminal of the airport. AJ has been with the company for years and during his time with the company we have never had one complaint about him being disrespectful or inappropriate with any of our customers. It is unfortunate that you did not think that our services offered was not of equal value to the cost of your rebooking. We have never defrauded any of our customers, and we never will. We work hard to provide a safe and efficient service for each guest. We take all allegations seriously, especially those of this nature, even though you failed to file a complaint with your hotel indicating any assault or indecent behavior by AJ, or to the police after you were driven by AJ to the station to make your complaint on the day of your departure. We are however still investigating this issue and are working to make the necessary changes to our policy on the way we do business with our guest so as to avoid further issues like this from arising in the future. It is our belief that we did indeed give you value for your kind gesture. As much as we would like to, give our customers our services for free, we still have to operate a business and cannot do so at a loss. We do wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you for having chosen us to be of service to you during your stay in The Bahamas.
