Private 2 Hour Guided Tour to Philae Temple from Aswan

Marcos did an excellent job on our tour to see the Isis temple, Philae, the temple of love. He shared much of its history & pointed out some of the symbology of the hieroglyphics. He also pointed out the vandalism over the years, some from the 1800s as well as the Christian markings. I especially loved that he offered us some free time at the end to ourselves too so we could walk around, take photos, or revisit areas of interest. He also went above & beyond taking us to a stone shop that we asked for on our way back to the hotel for a bit of shopping

Private 2 Hour Guided Tour to Philae Temple from Aswan: We took this tour and had a great time. Mary, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was great to have her explain the different meanings of the carvings. On our way back, Mary mentioned a free experience about the spice and perfume industry in the city. This ended up just being a perfume and spice store. The sales experience was very cool, but this was all just a sales pitch while the tour guide sat in their phone waiting for us to buy things. We ended up buying stuff, because we felt too guilty not to. Additionally, at the spice store the ladies packaging up the spices ended up giving us much more than we wanted. The price for these were by the pound. On the car ride back the tour guide got very pushy about leaving a review. She wanted a screen shot of it before we left the car, so we were not able to be 100% honest with our first review. Overall, we had a fun time, but, some of it got overshadowed with the unexpected added sales pitch.

Beautiful temple and a wonderful experience in Aswan. Arriving by boat makes the visit feel even more special, and the views from the water are stunning. Our guide Mary was amazing! Knowledgeable, kind, and great at explaining the history in a way that was easy to understand. Philae Temple is absolutely worth visiting.

It was hot in April, but the temple was dazzling and in a great location. Ahmed-san guided me around the place even though I didn't understand the language. Thank you very much. Thank you for your transportation.

Not recommended, the tour never happened. I was told on the day of the tour by the tour advisor that due to unforeseen operation problems, the tour can't take place. No refund was also not provided

Connecting with Viator was useless when we needed to as our flight was late. Phoned a UK number, no human answered. Viator is useless. We should have been given guide's number immediately when we booked. Mary our guide was excellent but I will not use Viator again. Not there when they were needed.

We did this tour 14 March. It is well worth it and so good the Philae was saved. We were especially interested to see the 'Last Hieroglyph'. Our tour guide was excellent. All went well.

Philae temple was nice and has beautiful views surrounding the area. Ahmed our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the place.

Made reservation with the available date, time slot, pick up hotel provided by Viator website. But the guide/driver never showed up. Both the hotel front desk and I made several phone calls to the tour operator and got NO answer at all. It was terrible, hope Viator will issue a full refund for this.
