Our knowledgeable local tour leaders take your group on a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Prague to Budapest. This tour offers hotel pick-up for private bookings. You will be picked up from your hotel, apartment, or any other pick-up point accessible by car. During the tour, we will visit the Sedlec Ossuary in Kutná Hora, UNESCO listed chapel famously adorned with the bones of over 40,000 people. In Mikulov, we' ll have a delicious lunch (not included) and will explore the historic Mikulov Castle, while soaking in the charm of the town’s Baroque and Renaissance architecture. Then we'll have a chance to walk around the 19th-century Lednice Palace and Gardens. This tour offers hotel drop-off for private bookings. Start your eventful day with a visit to one of the most unusual and thought-provoking sights in the Czech Republic—the Sedlec Ossuary, also known as the "Bone Church", in Kutná Hora. This UNESCO-listed chapel is famously decorated with the bones of over 40,000 people, arranged into elaborate designs, including chandeliers, coats of arms, and pyramids of skulls. As we explore the interior of this small Gothic chapel, we’ll learn about the origins and symbolism behind the Ossuary, reflecting on its powerful message about mortality, remembrance, and the cycle of life. Please note: Entry to the Ossuary is not included in the tour price. Tickets: Adults CZK 220 / Students & Seniors CZK 150 / Children (6–15 years) CZK 80 / Children under 6 enter free.
Stroll through the picturesque town of Mikulov, exploring the historic Mikulov Castle, which offers stunning views and fascinating exhibitions about the region’s rich history. As we wander through the charming town square, we will admire colorful Baroque and Renaissance buildings, have lunch and soak in the vibrant local atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of a renowned wine region, we will also have the chance to enjoy exceptional wine tastings in Mikulov’s many local cellars and wine bars, where we can savor the area’s celebrated vintages. Learn about the centuries-old wine growing traditions in Mikulov area and have the pleasure of tasting the famous local wine (optional, wine tasting is not included in the price of the tour).
We’ll have the opportunity to stroll through the breathtaking gardens of Lednice Palace, one of the most beautiful and renowned landscapes in Central Europe. As we explore this impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site, we’ll walk through elegantly landscaped gardens, charming ponds, and romantic pathways. Along the way, we’ll see highlights such as the Palm House, a historic greenhouse filled with exotic plants, and the ornamental Minaret, an unusual yet striking 60-meter-high tower offering panoramic views over the estate. The grounds also feature graceful bridges, sculptures, and hidden garden pavilions, adding to the fairy-tale atmosphere. Lednice offers a unique blend of history, nature, and architectural beauty, making it an unforgettable experience for visitors.

Our transfer with Petra was great. We saw towns we would not have seen on a train and Petra shared much history of the Czech Republic with us. She was friendly and knowledgeable, plus answered questions about daily life asked by our group. Only one other couple on our tour and one of them had food restrictions. Petra smoothly handled finding a restaurant with options that worked for him on our stop. The van was comfortable with good air conditioning despite the very hot summer day. While we waited at the pickup spot in the morning, we also chatted with Sidetrip staff who were leading a different group to Berlin and they were also friendly and helpful. We would definitely use Sidetrip again.

We had an amazing sightseeing transfer from Vienna to Prague with our wonderful guide and driver, Pavlina. The journey was very comfortable and relaxing, and full of beautiful scenery and interesting stops along the way. Pavlina was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, sharing great information about the local history and culture throughout the trip. She made the experience smooth and enjoyable, ensuring we were comfortable at every stop. Her driving was safe and efficient, and her warm personality truly made the day special. This was much more than just transportation between two cities — it instantly became one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend this tour and especially Pavlina to anyone traveling from Vienna to Prague!
We had a wonderful tour with Petra. She was so friendly and easy to talk to. She gave us so much interesting information about Cesky Krumlov (as well as pointing out other things along the way). It was a great use of our time on our travel day and an easy way to see the town without having the worry of what to do with our baggage as we traveled. Highly recommend!

We explored the stunning medieval town of Kutná Hora, stopped at the beautiful Mikulov Castle, visited the magnificent Lednice Castle grounds, and ended with a scenic transfer to Vienna all in one memorable day with my family.Nikolai was absolutely outstanding knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and hidden gems along the route. The Vienna to Prague transfer tour was amazing. We visited many beautiful places and saw so much. The tour guides were excellent and very friendly and knowledgeable. It turned a day that would have been spent just traveling and turned it into a fun adventure. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting these cities or any others that Sidetrip offers.
We booked a one way tour from Vienna to Prague to see more of the country side. William arrived on time in a spacious clean van. He took us safely through the countryside of Czechia to visit three wonderful towns we would not otherwise have seen on a train ride. William was very pleasant and knowledgeable and provided lots of history at all the locations as well as walking us to lots of great photo ops spots 😁. I will say the weather was extremely cold and dreary but William still provided top notch guide service and braved the weather with us. Would definitely recommend this transportation company and this tour guide.
Had a blast going from Prague to Vienna - we got to visit UNESCO heritage towns, see picturesque castles/cathedrals, make amazing new friends, try local wines, and also happen to reach Vienna in the process. Pavlina our host/guide not only was extremely knowledgeable but also brought a lot of personality to the tour. She knew a lot of tidbits, fun facts, local secrets, and constantly made the tour personal and fun. She was also extremely caring and flexible in making sure all our needs were met. 10/10 highly recommend this if you happen to be in central Europe. Can't wait to do another one of these.
