Saw a great deal of Slovakia with several interesting stops along the way to Budapest It was delightful to spend the day with Klara who was knowledgeable and pleasant.
Pavel was a friendly and excellent driver. He took us to all the right places, and the vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We had a great experience and would gladly recommend him.
This is a perfect way to travel between cities that are relatively close. Klara was an amazing guide. She was friendly, prompt, courteous and very informative during our tour. The van was very comfortable for our family. It was great being picked up at our first hotel and dropped off at the next. We did not have to go through the hassle of the airport and finding Ubers. Bonus never having to worry about lost luggage. Our stops were very enjoyable. I would definitely use the service again if travelling between cities they offer in Europe.
Our group of four needed transport from Budapest to Prague after a Danube River cruise and we were fortunate to discover Sidetrip Tours as an alternative to the plane, train or bus options. The pickup location was a short walk from our hotel and our driver, Csenge, was a gem. She skillfully drove us in comfort through the amazing landscapes of three countries (all those sunflowers and windmills!) with cultural and historical commentary. Her tours at the three stops were well paced and entertaining and she recommended some of her favorite dishes for lunch at a local restaurant. This experience was so much more than just a ride from point A to point B. Also, booking, payment and communication throughout the process was easy. Thank you Csenge and Sidetrip Tours!
If I didn’t have as many bags as we did, I would have selected to take the train. Pickup: It was disappointing that I had to chase and raise the fact the pickup may not be able to be done at the hotel as it was a residential restricted area, and then I had to workout where they should pic us up and cart our bags there. Trip: For a 9 -10hr trip you need to be comfortable… and the seating in the row behind the drive had poor leg room. Driver: He was nice, but surprised he was dressed ultra casual.Stops during trip: It was nice and gave chance to stretch legs , have a bite to eat and have do some touristing with driver.
So glad we decided to book a sidetrip tour from Budapest to Prague instead of taking the train. Our driver, Akos, was terrific. Very communicative, gave us lots of information. He took us to a great spot for morning coffee, and managed to find a lovely spot in the shade for lunch on what was an extremely hot day. He made a long journey much more enjoyable. Being picked up and dropped off at the door of our hotel was very much appreciated, I'm so over negotiating public transport with a heavy suitcase. Best decision of our trip :)
What a great idea to travel in a minibus and do a bit of sightseeing with a guide who knows everything about the places you visit on the way to your destination. Csenge drove very confidently and smooth and was a great guide.
This tour with our guide cum driver was excellent. We covered the village of Gyor, then the beautiful Basilica in Esztergom , then the beautiful ruins of castle of Visegrad, followed by the picturesque town of Szentendre. Alex our tour guide and driver was wonderful, knowledgeable on the history of each place as well she was considerate to match our walking pace. I would strongly recommend to ask for Alex as your driver cum guide. I would also strongly recommend taking side trip tours if visiting Central and or Eastern Europe.
This was our first time witb sidetrip and it was great. The driver, Stefan, was very nice and prompt. All the stops were great. We just got unlucky with the heatwave which made visiting some of the sites not as enjoyable as it would hwve been if we had cooler temperatures. I highly recommend this trip if you're going between these cities. Much better than flying or train.
I just want to express my gratitude to sidetrip tours and especially my driver Markéta for a safe and very pleasurable transfer .This ride was booked through my travel agent so you don't know what to expect and the whole experience was excellent! From the on time pickup to the tours on the road with the insight that Markéta shared with us about the countryside we were traveling through.I cannot express my gratitude enough to Markéta what a fabulous job and a genuine good person she is!Thank YouLee
