Positano, Amalfi & Ravello: Shore Excursion from Salerno

It was so exciting to finally check off visiting the Amalfi Coast on my bucket list! This tour was a wonderful way to see the region, and visiting a local factory to taste authentic limoncello for the very first time was a major highlight. Finding the tour group right outside the cruise terminal was smooth and hassle-free. Our tour guide did a fine job giving us information, though her humor and overall tour personality felt a bit forced at times. I also wish the itinerary had allowed for more free time in Positano and Amalfi city, as visiting the third stop in Ravello cut into our time in those main towns. Special mention goes to our driver, who handled the notoriously sharp and winding roads around Positano and Amalfi with incredible calm and skill. The only drawback on the road was that he and the guide chatted nonstop, loudly, without pausing for a single second during the entire ride back to the port. All in all, it was a great way to experience the stunning beauty of the coast, and I would definitely recommend it to cruise passengers stopping in Salerno!

Great trip with our guide Rosy who was knowledgeable and fun. The Amalfi coast was beautiful, the downside was the amount of people visiting Positano & Amalfi - the fastest walking pace was “shuffle”, overwhelming number of visitors. Ravello was quieter. Ignore the pinned meeting point in Salerno on Viator’s website which takes you outside the port! The tour guides actually wait just outside the exit of the terminal building

Roads on the bus ride are typical Italian coast, a bit winding up and down through the towns; but enjoyed the multiple stops and the free time in each. Driver Francesco handled it flawlessly and guide Rosy was very personable, informative and easy to understand.

We had a wonderful day trip to Positano! Our tour guide was incredibly sweet, kind, and welcoming. She made the whole experience enjoyable and was so helpful throughout the day. Positano was absolutely beautiful, and having such a lovely guide made the trip even more special. Highly recommend!

Stunning views beautiful villages combined with lively boutiques, cafes and beaches with a very professional driver and knowledgeable and friendly guide.

It was supposed to be an 8 hour activity therefore starting at 8am and finishing at 4pm in time to return to our boat. Guide thought trip was to 5.30pm. Therefore he had to reduce time for several visits which was a shame.

We liked the places we visited, however, the guide did not walk with us, or give us any history about the places we visited, but did let us know what the best places to see. Our driver was impressive, driving on narrow switchback roads. I recommend visiting Positano and Amalfi. Ravello there was not much to do, so we stopped for a drink

We had a really wonderful experience during our Amalfi coast tour. It started when we were greeted by our tour host Antonio Carola. He was exciting, engaging and friendly. He is a local who knows the best practical tips on getting the most of your visit to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.With his tips and suggestions, we were able to see everything we wanted and more.He was able to find the best spots for taking beautiful pictures.He was always ready to offer a cold bottle of water and a super clean air conditioned mini van. He also took a quick trip to Sorrento for us as an added bonus and we still made it back to our cruise well on time. So glad we had the best tour guide! You won’t be disappointed. Grazie Anto’

We had Luca and Luigi as our driver. Despite it being the holiday and very hot they gave us a great day. We had an added bonus boat ride as well.
