Port : Charm Cruise 7 Bridges with Port, Sunset option

Absolutely beautiful cruise on the river. Rita and Anselmo were warm, friendly, and professional. Actually my second time doing this cruise with them. We got lucky with a fantastic sunset, but it seems there are many lucky days in Porto. Bring warm clothes since it can get windy and chilly very quickly. They do provide blankets, but you may want both. Make sure to clarify with the tour operator if the cruise will be on their small yacht or on the sailboat. The mast of the sailboat is too tall to pass under the Luis I Bridge.

Nice boat! Great captain and the cutest first mate you will find. (Maufi) She was very informative, plus gave us great local recommendations. She is young but full of knowledge. We were a group of 10 which was perfect! Amazing sunset!!! Highly recommended.

We booked this as it was smaller groups. We had booked for 11 am but the weather was not meant to be great so Anselmo ensure that we were ok to change the timing of our activity, wich end up being much more pleasant as the sun was out. From the moment we meet Anselmo he was very polite and obliging, made us feel very at easy, the crew was also very pleasant and we learned a few things about Porto and Gaia in a very relaxed way, without overpowring with the presence we were treated to some lovelly/intresting facts. We were treated to a porto tonic (other options available) as a complimentary drink,and we actually got some amazing Porto wine as an extra, wich was a lovelly gesture. We had the chance to view Porto and Gaia from a diferent prespective while enjoying a very relaxed boat trip sailed very smoothly. There were so many other aspects from the tour that were very pleasant and in general if i was staying in Porto for longer would end up doing again. We had booked for a later time however we arrived early and the partner firm who had an office in the harbour very kindly offered to bring our time forward. It was a nice dry day in the midst of a wet week, if it had been wet our tour would have been different. We were also offered to change our tour to he sunset tour. During our tour we saw where the boat would stop to watch the sunset and I would stink it would have been sensational. However back to our tour we were pet at an easy to find gate c by a very friendly multilingual speaking crew member we walked to our immaculately presented boat and sat on the upper deck with one other person. The boat could be steered in this fly deck or in the deck below. Our captain was also multilingual and gave lots of information as we gently sailed down the river, the views and comfort was exceptional. This is a very different tour from the large brown boats that leave the docks near Porto town, it is a smaller select experience. If you are walking it is a lot further from Porto although you could take a water taxi from McDonald’s across to Guía and it is a short walk from that dock. If we return to Porto/Guia we will certainly be booking the sunset tour with this friendly efficient company.

Having experienced many river cruises over the years I was not expecting anything really special however this cruise of the Douro in Porto was a real standout. We booked a 5pm cruise and were contacted by the operator earlier in the day offering to upgrade to a sunset cruise for no extra charge. We were met at the terminal by Victoria who was to be our host for the evening and were impressed by her from the outset . Her personality was made for customer service, she was knowledgeable and full of enthusiasm and really made the experience special, a real credit to the tour operator. Not to forget the captain (Nelson) who was equally impressive. This is a must do experience in Porto.

A great boat trip at sunset. There were 8 of us on board and we had a pleasant time, including 1 free drink. There was also some nice information about Porto. A successful evening!
