Your day trip starts early at 08:00 AM from the Vasil Levski Monument (Embassy of Slovakia) to beat the summer heat and the crowds! Board our comfortable, shared tourist coach and begin your journey.
Upon arrival in Plovdiv—one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe—you will begin a comprehensive walking tour. Walk along the cobbled streets and marvel at the beautifully restored 19th-century National Revival houses. (Logistics Note: If you booked a tour in Spanish or Italian, you will be met by a dedicated local expert guide here, while your onboard host from Sofia manages transport logistics).
Explore one of the world's best-preserved ancient Roman amphitheaters. Still used for performances today, this spectacular 1st-century structure offers breathtaking panoramic views. (Entry is optional; local fee approx. 2.56 € cash).
Discover the massive Roman Stadium built in the 2nd century AD, located beneath the main pedestrian street. Your guided portion concludes near the vibrant "Kapana" (The Trap) creative district.
How the afternoon works depends on the Option you booked: Plovdiv Extended Free Time: If you booked the base Plovdiv tour, you now have massive extended free time! Relax, dine in Kapana, or visit museums at your own pace. (Note: The shared bus will leave Plovdiv to conduct the "Grand Tours" and return later in the afternoon to pick you up). Starosel OR Koprivshtitsa Grand Tours: If you booked a premium upgrade, you will re-board the bus and travel into the countryside to visit the Thracian Tomb of Starosel & Staro Zhelezare Art Village, OR the historic 19th-century town of Koprivshtitsa (depending on the day's specific route).
After completing the day's itinerary and reuniting the group in Plovdiv, the bus travels back to Sofia. We will make a brief scheduled stop at Sofia Airport to drop off connecting passengers and shuttle riders.
The tour concludes with a final drop-off at the original morning meeting point (or selected hotels, if the premium pickup option was booked). Expected return time is approximately 18:00 - 19:00, depending on traffic and the day's specific routing.

Fantastic Tour, Tour Guido very polite, Fanny an gave wonderful information. No boring comments or so.!!
I can only recommend this tour. Plovdiv was a very charming city with many beautiful historic buildings. The K-place as it was called because of its harder pronounciation was also lovely. We were able to visit a merchants house whoch was both beautiful and interesting. The was a small entrance fee of 2,5 Euro per Person, but it was not mandatory to visit the house. There were also many interesting anecdotes by our guide Martin. I would recommend booking a guided tour, since you just get to know the places in a different way. I would have like a bit more time in Plovdiv, but I also loved the K-place, so I think this tour was the best compromis. The bus arrived in Sofia on time, as well. And pick up was on time. So all in all a great trip.
Everything worked perfectly! Driver was very friendly! Definitely recommended!
Very nice driver, careful and polite
Great value guided tour that takes one to see the cultural sites of Plovdiv. Definitely good to take guided version as the walking tour will highlight all the best places to see in more detail later. Lots to see so best to not cram other side tours but allow enough time after guided walk to see the grand houses, churches, galleries and ruins in more detail.
We joined the tour midway in Plovdiv to Sofia. The bus was on time, and the organizers were very helpful. The guide was very knowlegable.
Very professional, on time and nice driver.
Hello I liked this tour very much our guide , our driver did an excellent job , our guide is a very kind person he helped me to get a taxi cab to return to my hotel . I recommend his company to everybody visiting Sofia
Terrible service! The booking was for a 2.5 hour drive to Bansko from Sofia. The ride came on time and the driver was very kind but the ride took 6 hours because they took more passengers for a different location way out of the way on a very tough and twisty road. Would not trust them!
We only booked a trip from Sofia to Plovdiv, but next time we will use your services. Big shout out to the tour guide Sven.
