We take special care in every customer to make sure they have the best day of their vacation and take 150-250 pictures and video to prove it.

We also pick up at Las Catalina’s, Pacific Heights, Casa Chameleon, JW Marriott , all hotels and homes in Playa del Coco and Papagayo (including Riu, Mangroove, Hard Rock, Secrets, Four Seasons, Andaz and all others) for an extra charge-ask for rates. From Tamarindo we do offer shuttle however must guests take the water taxi over and we pick up in Grande no charge and drive 5 minutes to our surf spot. We had the absolute best time! Our instructor was amazing and had all of us up and riding multiple waves. One person in our group didn’t want to surf, and they made sure she was comfortable with a nice chair in the shade so she could still enjoy the experience with us. And you HAVE to try the banana bread—it might honestly be the best you’ll ever have! Such a fun experience from start to finish. Highly recommend booking with Mojo Surf!
We were blown away by how quickly us 4 novice surfers (never ever surfed) stood up on our surf boards. We had an amazing time learning to surf. Joelle and Tim explained each step so well. Out of the two week holiday our daughter's favourite activity was surfing with Mojo surf Adventures. Tim took so many amazing photos will can show as evidence and keep sake memories of our experience. I would 100 percent recommend booking with Mojo Surf at Playa Grande.
This was a fantastic experience for our family. The instructors were patient, kind and wanted all of us to succeed and we did. We caught waves, enjoyed the sun, surf and company of the entire Mojo team. They took photos and even shared delicious banana bread. Our kids are 12 & 14 and loved their lesson and want to go back tomorrow and it was so great we may just do that. Instructors were out in the water with the kids and even showed off a few of their surfing tricks.
Had a wonderful time as a family of five. Even those that were nervous had a great time and felt safe. Price was more than fair as we had a longer experience than some other other companies. We traveled from Tamarindo and are glad we were able to experience a quieter setting. There were on a few families and wonderful instructors. The owners went above and beyond for us. They supplied water, pineapple and homemade banana bread (which was safe for our food allergy). We love meeting people and trying new things - this was a great time!

We first did surf lessons with Mojo back in Nov 2023 and loved it so much, we decided to do it again with them this past week. Tim and his team are awesome! The instructors are very patient and encouraging. The beach at Playa Grande is beautiful and the waves perfect for both beginners and more experienced surfers. They provided us with rash guards, fresh pineapple, homemade banana bread and water. This time we were staying about 90 min away up on the Papagayo Peninsula - Tim made arrangements for a driver to pick us up for the journey to Playa Grande. The driver, Jonathon was great - he waited for us to do our lesson, then took us to Tamarindo for a few hours where we could grab lunch and do some shopping before driving us back to our hotel. Highly Recommend! Amazing way to spend the day in Costa Rica!
Expert lessons with fine tuning. Whole family had a blast. Tim and company are so friendly and supportive. We caught wave after wave after wave. No crowd. You won't find a better outfit than this.
