Itinerary
Karon Viewpoint
20 min
Karon Viewpoint is one of the most frequented viewpoints in Phuket. From here, it is possible to take in views of Kata Noi, Kata Yai and Karon beaches.
Nai Harn Beach
20 min
From Windmill Viewpoint, beneath the swishing rotor blades that generate electricity for the area (its official name is the ‘Phromthep Alternative Energy Station’), you can spot passing sea traffic, ranging from long-tail boats with their long converted truck motors, to fishing boats heading out into the Andaman, to oil tankers and even mega-sized cruise ships coming from and heading back to Singapore. Flying things Windmill Viewpoint is also a meeting place for model airplane enthusiasts as well as hang gliding types who ride the tropical thermals, eventually coming to a graceful landing down at Nai Harn Beach. Far above and sometimes parallel with the hill, Brahminy kites and sea eagles gracefully glide past. You could be forgiven for thinking that with all this airborne activity Windmill Viewpoint is a crowded spot: It’s anything but, mostly because there’s very little parking space. Still, it’s not only a premium sunset viewing point; it’s also an all-day attractive place with the sea especially azure at midday.
Promthep Cape
30 min
Promthep Cape is one of the island's most photographed and perhaps best-known locations. Every evening, large tour buses, scooters and private cars sweep through Rawai Beach and up the island's southernmost hill in order to watch the sunset at its peak. On the top of the hill stands a busy car park where vehicles disgorge crowds of people from every corner of the world.
Big Buddha Phuket
Admission included40 min
(reopen from March 2026) Phuket's Big Buddha is one of the most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 metres tall, can be seen from as far away as Phuket Town and Karon Beach. The lofty site offers the best 360-degree views of the island, with sweeping vistas of Phuket Town, Kata, Karon, Chalong Bay and more. Relatively easily reachable via a winding 6-km road leading from Phuket's main artery route, it is a must-visit island destination.
Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong)
Admission included40 min
Wats - or Buddhist temples - are among the most important symbols of Thailand, partly because the majority of Thais are Buddhist and partly because they are so beautiful. In Phuket alone, there are 29 Buddhist temples spread around the island. Wat Chalong has been extending a warm welcome to visitors for over a century. Locals come to pray and Westerners come to learn something about Buddhism.
Old Phuket Town
20 min
Unlike many Thai provincial capitals, Phuket Town fairly shines with personality and nowhere more so than its Old Town. In this historically rich part of town you will find shrines, temples (Buddhist and Chinese), ornate and beautifully preserved 'shophouses', quaint cafés, tiny printing shops, impromptu private and public museums and even a mini ex-red light district. Phuket Old Town was built on riches reaped from Phuket's tin boom of last century, when the metal was an extremely valuable commodity. In this quarter of the town you will see grandiose Sino-colonial mansions, once occupied by Phuket's tin barons of 100 years' ago. Phuket Old Town is compact enough to stroll around in. The best time to do this is early in the morning or after the day has lost its heat.
Khao Rang Hill View Point
30 min
Khao Rang Hill is one of Phuket’s most famous viewpoints. Located to the northwest of the city centre, its summit offers views out over the town, to the south of the island, neighbouring islands and along the hills forming the ‘spine’ of the island, upon which sits the impressive Phuket Big Buddha. Featuring a nicely landscaped park with children’s playground, three restaurants and bars, a fitness park, and a panoramic terrace - built in 2014 - officialising the viewpoint status of Khao Rang’s summit, the place is attractive and offers its visitors a breath of fresh air in the capital of Phuket Island.
Banzaan Fresh Market
20 min
The Banzaan Market is the brainchild of a well-known Phuket family who sought to offer shoppers an alternative experience other than visiting a typical local market. The word ‘banzaan’ means fresh market in Hokkien, a Chinese dialect popular among many overseas Chinese communities throughout Southeast Asia.

Phuket city tour
Not value for money. Seemed too expensive.
Operator response
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the tour did not meet your expectations regarding value.
We would like to clarify that this is a private Phuket City Tour, with a dedicated vehicle and driver exclusively for your group, as well as the flexibility to customize the itinerary and explore Phuket at your own pace. We believe our pricing is very competitive for a private tour of this type in Phuket.

Needs a massive improvement
We did a city tour in Phuket City today and overall the experience was underwhelming. The guide mainly drove us from place to place and only spoke when we asked direct questions. We expected a more informative, engaging, and lively tour, especially given this was a guided experience.
At the end of the tour, we asked to be taken to a massage place and were brought to Mookda Spa, which felt like a tourist trap and not something we would recommend. It gave the impression that the stop may have been commission-based rather than chosen for quality or value.
Overall, the tour did not meet our expectations.
Operator response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear that the Phuket City Tour did not meet your expectations. A guided city tour should indeed be informative and engaging, and we regret that you felt the guide’s commentary was limited. Your comments have been noted, and we will review this internally to ensure our guides are more proactive in sharing information and creating a more interactive experience.
Regarding the stop at the massage spa, we understand your concern. When guests request recommendations, our guides suggest places commonly used by visitors for convenience and availability. However, we appreciate your feedback and will remind our team to better explain options and ensure guests feel comfortable with any suggested stops.
Thank you again for your honest review. Feedback like yours is important to us and helps us improve the quality of our tours for future guests.

Good tour - bad guide
This was a nice tour, hit all the stops on the itinerary except the Bazaar. We didn’t get so much history about Phuket. We were the only ones on the tour which was a little od. Halfway through the guide picked up his wife who couldn’t speak English. Once he picked her up - he stayed sleeping in the car while she took us around. When it was lunch, we offered to pay for (and did) their lunch and he still asked for a tip at the end.

Wonderful excursion 🙏
It was just the 2 of us on this tour, but wongsak boonkong our tour guide was excellent, he took us to all of the attractions as stated on Tripadvisor!
Being a local his knowledge of the area was exceptional, also because it was just the two of us, we asked him to join us for lunch which was very special.
Highly recommended and 🙏🙏 Soon!

No show - no go
No-one showed up to take me on the tour. They told me that they were 20 minutes late and that I wasn’t there. I waited almost an hour but they were a no show and they did not answer their phone the day before so that I could confirm pick up or the day of the tour. We tried to contact them at least 6 times.
Operator response
Dear Lynette Bishop,
You put Australian phone number in your booking and we tried to contact with you by WhatsApp and have sent you messages, but didn’t get a respond. Also we have sent all pick up details trough Viator chat. The driver with a guide was late for 20 min and we informed about that when hotel staff called to us, but when guide come to you hotel they didn’t find you there.
Anyway, we had issued a full refund for this booking.
We are sorry that this experience was unsuccessful and wish you only successful experiences in the future.

Lots of seeing and doing. Very extensive and for that money you really can't complain. Seen monkeys and can pet elephant.
Only not nice that we are the only Dutchman in a full bus with Russians and therefore got no explanation. Also very strange that you don't get lunch when it ends around 3:30 pm

Sold as English Speaking tour but should be advertised as Russian speaking
Was an amazing tour apart from stopping to feed the baby elephant that was in a really small cage. We didn't know this was part of the tour. If we were aware of this, would never have booked this tour. Also, the tour is advertised as English Speaking tour guide but our tour was 95% in Russian which neither myself nor my partner speak or understand. This tour should be advertised as Russian Speaking and not English Speaking! The tour guide gave us a very brief description at the first couple of stops, but after that it was just to tell us how long we have at the stop!
Operator response
Thank you for writing review! We appreciate it very much and delighted that you enjoyed our tour. Usually in our program and schedule no have stop near elephant farm, it makes only if participants asked about it. We apologised and hope will see you soon on another kind of our tours.

disappointed and not what we booked
We booked through trip advisor using reviews which we thought sounded better than those you can book in patong town. Once all 4 other pick ups were completed in the morning, we soon found we were the only British ones on the tour, everyone else was Russian including the tour guide. Despite this, we were ensured that we would still be included by the tour guide providing the information first to us then in Russian. On multiple occasions, we were bypassed and not spoken to by the guide therefore missing parts. Most of the trip, the tour guide was more interested in his own personal phone than the job he was being paid for!
The very worst part of this is experience was the surprise we were told about half way through.. we stopped at a side road to ‘feed and meet Bella’. Bella was an alone elephant cornered into a tiny enclosure marked off with scaffold poles, commanded to complete the same 4 poses for the tourist paying 100baht for a bowl of food. THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE BOOKED OR SPECIFIED ON TRIP ADVISOR BOOKING INFORMATION. We are not tourist who exploit such beautiful creatures so we were beyond furious.
Secondly, the tour felt very rushed. No lunch was included which we understood but we were given no time to find anything to eat despite it being an all day trip. We therefore wasted our time at Phuket old town finding a quite bite to eat, meaning we saw little of the famous walking street at all.
As previously stated, this was meant to be an all day trip yet we were back by 3pm at the latest, with the tour guide being home at 2 as he was dropped off before we were even back in patong! (Perhaps that’s not part of his job but we haven’t had that on the other trips!)
Combining the parts of the trips which were not included in the booking information along with the feeling we were just constantly getting in and out of the mini bus all day, I would not recommend with this company. However I would recommend the trip to big Buddha, Buddhist temple and the viewpoints

A must do
Thank you Kim. Our guide is a very proud Thai and provided good insight to the Thai people and culture. The tour was one of the most comprehensive ones I found and it did not let me down. There was enough time at each stop and a lot of stops.
