He made the long drive comfortable, kept everything running on schedule, and made sure our family had everything we needed. We also want to give a huge thank you to our guide, Ahmad, who made our visit to Petra so much more interesting. His knowledge, explanations, and enthusiasm brought the ancient city to life. Instead of simply walking around and looking at the ruins, we understood the history and stories behind what we were seeing. What impressed us most was how Rafat and Ahmad worked together so perfectly. The entire day felt organized, relaxed, and effortless. Even though we had a limited amount of time, we never felt unnecessarily rushed. The team at Tour Experts deserves a lot of credit for arranging such a well-planned family experience. Coordinating a Petra visit between airport arrival and departure is not an easy task, but they managed every detail beautifully. From the airport to Petra and back to the airport, everything went exactly as planned. Petra, the Rose-Red City, was the impressive capital of the Nabataean kingdom whose ruins remained hidden to most of the world until the Swiss explorer, JL Burckhardt, disguised as an Arab scholar, infiltrated the city in 1812. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Meet your private guide at the site and hike or ride a horse down to the entrance of the Siq, a long, winding sandstone canyon that leads to the Treasury. The tour continues to the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater and the Royal Tombs. Note that travel time is 3 hours driving from Amman to Petra and another 3 hours back.
