Cruise from Perth to Rottnest Island, via Fremantle, along the Swan River. During your 1 hour 30 minute transfer, listen to informative Captain's commentary and relax whilst enjoy the scenic views.
Arrive on Rottnest and commence your day on the island. You have free time to do as you please until your return ferry departure.

Seemed expensive for just the transport. There was a commentary but this was only audible upstairs. However the catamaran was very stable even in the bad weather.
Thanks for your feedback. The ferry from Perth is a higher price as it includes the cruise down the Swan River from Perth to Fremantle, as well as the journey from Fremantle across to the island. We hope you overall enjoyed your visit to Rottnest.
Great tour company, would suggest going with these people! Thought we had booked hotel pick-up weeks prior, apparently not, but it was a quick and easy fix over the phone. The boat journey there was a bumpy one, especially after picking up the Fremantle guests 😅, but the captain gave intriguing insight into Perth and the buildings/landmarks/neighbourhoods, etc. After arriving, we explored at our own pace for 20-25 mins and picked up some ice cream before going on the train to the other already-included tour about the history of Rottnest and its involvement in the war(?). Very informative and interesting. The bus on return provided lunch too, whilst also showing us to the lighthouse and other places around the island. We did have to get ready early for this (6am-ish) but it was worth it.

Great day unfortunately overshadowed by the weather. Excellent commentary and customer serve by boat crew who took a considered approach to meeting customer needs. Highly recommend this tour in calmer weather.

Tripadvisor did not send me any details for the timing of the return ferry after booking. I had to call the phone number for Sealink to email me the itinerary and barcode needed to board. Good for cycling and better in summer because it's windy and cold.
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, Rottnest Island is great for cycling. Winter is good for fewer crowds and more quokkas, but summer is best for warmer days and swimming. Thank you for choosing to travel with SeaLink!
Lovely return ferry trip to Rottnest Island. Friendly staff and great commentary as we travelled along the Swan River. Enjoyed a wine & beer on the return leg - good selection and a nice way to watch the sunset as we cruised into Perth.

Fabulous place to visit. We hired electric bikes on the island and made a full cycle round the whole island. The bikes were great, but somewhat expensive. Very beautiful place, rich in history and culture, with plenty to see. Fabulous beaches and the Quakkas are very time l take near the main visitor centre. The staff on board the ferry were great too. Highly recommended.

It is a straightforward ferry trip along the beautiful Swan river towards Rottnest Island. The captain spoke and told us some nuggets of trivia along the features of the river. Upon docking at Rottnest Island, you are free to roam the island so take note and do not be mistaken there is no tour or bus to bring you around. I loved the island and the beaches and wonderfully adorable quokkas. Would book again for the convenience!

Easy booking, lovely staff. Beautiful scenery. We actually took the ferry from Perth to Rottnest then back to Fremantle. It was very rough on the way there and the staff made us very comfortable, even giving out zooper doopers once it was calm.
