Excellent one hour tour! We had limited time in Williamsburg and decided on this tour (based on its excellent reviews) instead of the Colonial Williamsburg pass. For us, this was a great decision. Lots of information in a short time. Covered a good amount of colonial history as well as how the preservation of Williamsburg came about. My husband often gets bored by the end of a tour, but Lonnie’s humor and storytelling kept his attention and at the end he said this was one of the best tours he’s taken. This would be a great background prior to visiting the individual homes/buildings but it also worked well for us since we had limited time and did not do the Williamsburg pass. The 9am tour was nice because it wasn’t super hot yet (and Lonnie kept us in the shade as much as possible). Highly recommend this tour. Tons of interesting history. It’s a bargain!!!
I really enjoyed the walking tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and I especially loved his sense of humor. He made the history of Williamsburg both interesting and entertaining. Definitely a great experience!
We had a great tour. Lonnie was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. It was a perfect tour for our group. The price and length were perfect for our group. I highly recommend it if you just are looking for a short introduction to the history behind Williamsburg.!!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us in the shade as much as possible.
Excellent tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, he had a great sense of humor, hour went by fast.
Lonnie was friendly, knowledgeable and answered questions when asked. We didn’t feel rushed, we saw and learned about what was posted in the description. Thank you!!
It was a perfect start to our day at Colonial Williamsburg. Lonnie was not only historically informative, but was sociable and had a relaxed presence. One knew he'd been doing this tour quite a while, and genuinely enjoyed it! We enjoy taking tours to hear about local history, and sometimes its a hit or miss. This was absolutely a hit. Looking for the next time we can return and get our young adult children on his tour too!
Really in detail and the tour guide was funny and friendly
Lonnie, our tour guide, was fantastic! Wealth of knowledge and fun facts! Definitely recommend this tour!
