The Montjuïc also includes examples of town planning and architecture especially designed for the 1929 International Exhibition.

Before to head to our last destination of the day, you will have the chance to get inspired by the breathtaking Sagrada Familia. Gaudi's masterpiece is considered as the most emblematic landmark of Barcelona. There are no words to describe the feeling one gets when entering this magnificent temple of Modernism. The organic shapes found throughout its structure, the light filtering through its stained glass windows and the symbolic nature of the building’s sculpted façade will probably be the highlight of this tour.

Admission included60 min

We will make a stop at Parc Guell, based above the charming, bohemian neighbourhood of Gràcia. The architecture in the park was inspired by organic forms, found in nature. You will discover slender alleys with undulating forms, like rivers of molten lava, which are covered by columns shaped like trees, stalactites and other geometric shapes.

One of our best tour experiences

We have traveled extensively throughout Europe over the last 26 years. This tour and our guide Joris rates in the top 5 to date. Joris was extremely knowledgeable of Barcelona its history, architecture, and food. Reflecting on our day we could not believe all the sights we enjoyed and most importantly we did not feel rushed. Viator delivered on its promise. Should you take advantage of this offering ask that Joris be your tour guide.

Tour of Barcelona

Alberto was an exceptional tour guide. Not only did he provide much needed history of Barcelona but also provided individualized care for each age group in our family from 9-75yo. The air conditioned rides were great on hot day like today. He took us to an affordable and tasty restaurant for lunch. Overall, we all agree that he was wonderful and we highly recommend him. Here is a comment from my daughter: I was one of the youngest members of the tour and I usually don’t like tours. There’s too much walking, it’s too hot and it’s too long. But today was different. Alberto was awesome I absolutely loved the tour today. He showed us stuff and he actually talked to everyone. The thing I noticed was he would go back to help and talk to my grandparents who walk slowly, he didn’t just leave them behind which I thought was great. Alberto recommended a great lunch place and he gave me an experience I will always remember. He gave us tips before he dropped us off at different spots. He explained everything and also made it fun. He didn’t just say history, he told jokes with it to. He gave us lots of time to sit down and catch our breath for a moment after all the walking and he didn’t walk to fast for everybody. In all I would definitely decide to ask for him if we came here again. Instead would rate this not 5 stars but 6 because this was my favorite tour in Europe!
