Meet your driver-guide at our central Paris agency, just a short walk from the Louvre. Settle into your air-conditioned minivan and leave the city via the Normandy motorway towards the Seine valley.
On arrival, use your pre-booked ticket to enter Monet’s estate. Discover the painter’s pink house restored as it was in his time: the blue sitting-room, the pantry and kitchen, the dining-room filled with Japanese prints and his private bedroom on the first floor. The house where Claude Monet lived for more than 40 years and raised 8 children.
Outside, stroll through the Clos Normand, a riot of colours with more than 100 different types of flowers– roses, nasturtiums and seasonal blooms from Europe and Asia that Claude Monet arranged like a living canvas.
Cross the road to the famous water garden, where you’ll find the green Japanese bridge, wisteria, bamboo and the water-lily pond that inspired Monet’s Nymphéas series. Take your time for photos and to recognise the exact motifs you’ve seen in his paintings.
Rejoin your driver-guide and relax on the drive back to central Paris, arriving with your camera full of images that look like Impressionist paintings.

Really nice afternoon filled with beautiful flowers and serene Lilly Pond. His home is wonderfully restored. All very insightful as to who he was, how he lived and what he liked. The ride to/from would have been enhanced with speakers to back of the van.
The home has been beautifully restored. You really get a great feeling of how he lived and what he enjoyed most in life. The garden was amazing! Dense flowers of numerous sorts in bloom, a treat of colors an textures. We had the mid summer bloom. Lovely and serene. We sat and looked over The Lilly Pond for nearly an hour the highlight of our visit.
Our guide was very informative about Paris, Monet and Giverny. He was very funny and friendly as well
We had an absolutely wonderful time exploring Giverny and Versailles with Serge! He was so friendly, welcoming, and personable and also deeply knowledgeable about both sites (as well as many fascinating sites along the driving route). Our group greatly appreciated his kindness and sense of humor. Everything was great, and the guide showed us many interesting things during the trip, and also told us the history of Claude Monet and his house in Giverny. He guided us during the tour of the house and the garden, everything was very well organized. Maybe it would be worth doing that full-day tour.

Serge was a most excellent driver and guide for our private car tour of Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny and the two castles at La Roche-Guyon. He was punctual, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, making the day both comfortable and memorable. We saved a ton of time with avoiding ticket lines as well as setting up reservations at local restaurants. Highly recommended!
