We had an amazing experience on this tour with Vanessa. She was an exceptional guide. While the focus was pastries and food, Vanessa wove in details about history and architecture and led us through several passageways that we would have never found on our own. I would highly recommend this tour.
Vanessa was wonderful. She's very enthusiastic and passionate. She's also very informed and does a wonderful tour. 10/10
This was by far a highlight of our trip to Paris! Our charming, charismatic guide, Dave, introduced us to all the wonderful delicacies of Paris pastries. We walked, we talked, we laughed, we listened, we sat, we ate. Also learned about hidden alleys/streets with amazing shops and restaurants. Enjoyed hearing about historical facts about the beautiful architecture if the city. Highly recommend Devour Food Tours and Dave!!! Thank you for giving us a memorable day in Paris!
Vanessa was very informative and such a pleasure to tour with. She was entertaining and I learned so much more than just the food. Vanessa has wonderful tidbits about Paris.
Wow! This food tour was soooo much fun. I prefer more savory than sweet, and even I thought the chocolate croissant was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Our tour guide, Dave, was amazingly knowledgeable and very personable. He took us to some little known passageways and foodie streets known to locals (but we never would have found them on our own). Our tour consisted of a strawberry and cream tea cake, chocolate croissant, chocolate brownie/mousse bar, crepe, and macaroon. All were delicious and made locally with only locally sourced ingredients. Make sure to eat light before the tour because you will be stuffed. :)
Dave was very knowledgeable and gave us the history of the places & districts we visited. Stopped by a number of delicious cafes and tea shops. Very tasty array of sweets! Would recommend.
The Paris Pastry and Chocolate Tour: Secrets of Paris’ Sweet Side was "Dave" was the best tour (and we had many) of our trip. Our tour guide was "Dave" from Birmingham, England and he was delightful. He was knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and fun. The food was fantastic, the settings were beautiful, and the history was uniquely Paris. I highly recommend this tour, and ask for DAVE from Birmingham!
We really enjoyed the collection of treats. They truly picked the best of the best for each item. With so many options for pastry and chocolates in Paris it can be overwhelming to know where to go on your own. My family thought the Strawberry Shortcake was the best they had ever tasted! Our guide Anne Lorraine was wonderful.
The Paris Pastry Tour was wonderful! Our tour guide, Anne Lorraine, was very kind and gave us so much interesting information! We tried many delicious desserts in places we might not have discovered on our own. This tour is great for all ages and I would recommend it to anyone. You would be lucky to have Anne Lorraine as your tour guide!
Emily was lovely! She was so personable and very easy to follow. It was a lovely tour…very heavy on the sweets so make sure you have a sweet tooth otherwise this tour is not for you! The cost was a bit much for what it was in my opinion.
