Paris: Pastries & Damnations - A Sweet Tour of the Old City

Description
Taste the sweet side of Paris—then uncover its shadows. This walking tour through the Notre-Dame and Latin Quarter area blends irresistible pastries with powerful true stories. Starting at the peaceful Île Saint-Louis, we’ll enjoy gourmet treats from beloved local bakeries. But behind the sugar lies sorrow: the Notre-Dame fire, medieval executions, and the tragic legend of the drowned girl whose face became the most kissed lips in history. We’ll stroll through hidden courtyards, past ancient churches, and along the banks of the Seine where ghosts of the past still linger. Along the way, you’ll hear tales of love, loss, revolution, and resilience. The experience ends at the foot of the Panthéon, final resting place of France’s greatest minds—Voltaire, Rousseau, Marie Curie. A tour for those who crave both flavor and feeling, and want to see the heart of Paris through a deeper, more dramatic lens.

Loik was an awesome tour guide! If you’re looking to spend a great morning in Paris kind of off the beaten path, learning things you would have never learned before this is for you! We had a great time
Fantastic experience. Loik was an excellent tour guide and shared interesting stories and history along the way keeping our whole family engaged. The sweet treats were delicious - be sure to start the tour with an empty stomach! We really enjoyed this walking tour.
This was a truly incredible experience. Learning about some of the darker aspects of Paris’ history was cool, but what made it even cooler was getting to do so while enjoying some of the best sweet treats I’ve ever had. I 10/10 recommend this experience to anyone, especially solo travellers who are after a unique, delicacy infused walking tour.
This was a very lovely tour with stories you won't hear anywhere else in Paris. It's nice to have a local to guide you to the best treats in Paris, and to share some delightfully morbid stories with you. If I'd had more time in Paris I would have checked out his website to see what else he offers!!
This tour showed us Paris as we had never seen before ! We had already visited the city quite a few times but this tour still made us discover and learn new cool things! Cheers to our tour guide Loik !

This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Paris! Loik was a fantastic guide : funny, friendly, and full of great stories. He took us through the beautiful area around Notre-Dame, stopping at amazing pastry shops and sharing some fascinating stories. The pastries were absolutely delicious (seriously, some of the best we had in Paris), and Loik made everything even more fun with his great energy and knowledge. It felt like a walk with a friend who knows all the coolest hidden spots and the best sweets in town. If you love desserts and want to learn something different about Paris, definitely book this tour. Thank you, Loik!
What a lovely mix of history and sweet treats! I learned so much about the area around Notre-Dame and tasted some of the best pastries I’ve had in Paris. Highly recommend!
Fun, tasty, and informative! The guide was super engaging and made Parisian history feel alive. Perfect way to explore the city.
This was not your typical food tour. The stories were really engaging and the pastries were delicious. A great way to see a different side of Paris.
