Had a great experience on our tour. Our guide was excellent and very informative. Gave us an excellent tour of the Louvre.
Laura could not have been a better tour guide for our first visit to the Louvre. She shared such amazing details and seemed to magically know where to stand and what details would pique our interests. So patient with questions. Thank you for an amazing morning seeing this outstanding museum - it was like being with a good friend who just happens to know a lot about the Louvre, Paris, and history.
Miriam was a FANTASTIC and outstanding guide. We highly recommend her! We have taken many small group tours and hers was one of the best we have had!
Laura, our tour guide, was so educated about nearly every piece of art in the Louvre. Plus, it was very clear she had a major understanding of the history of France and was able to bring us along on the ride on how the Louvre was created. We found her so kind, approachable and patient with all our questions (esp from our small kids). I’d highly recommend her to anyone touring Paris. It truly made the experience so wonderful, and not to mention she was able to point out diff art and fun facts that we would have easily missed. If you want to truly learn history and art while maximizing your time in the massive museum, Laura is the way, A++
I would definitely not book through Viator again because we paid way too much for these tickets. On average, a ticket on-site would cost 70 euros. We paid 150 euros. It was an English-guided tour through the Louvre, but our guide was German. Since there were only four of us, I would have expected him to conduct the tour in two languages.
This experience was clearly advertised and booked as an English-language guided tour, not a bilingual tour. The guide’s nationality does not change the advertised tour language as there are other customers who bought it because it is in English. The price was not simply for a Louvre admission ticket. It included pre-reserved priority admission, a professional guided tour, headsets, and an exceptionally small group of only four guests. German-language and private tour options were available, but this booking was specifically for the scheduled English tour with all the privileges.
Fantastic tour and an amazing guide! Friendly, knowledgeable, and very engaging throughout the tour. She explained everything clearly, kept the group organized, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!
You definitely should have a guide to get you started in the Louvre. It is magnificent but overwhelming!
I had a lot of difficulty finding the meeting spot as I believe there was almost too much pre-tour communication. Even though I had the electronic ticket it seemed that I was going to have to meet in 2 different places. It started a great tour off difficultly! However the tour was great but I forget my guides name???? He was very informative and got us to see 5 of the top pieces of art and many more.
Small group, very efficient, hitting all the highlights with a knowledgable and great guide. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a private tour of the Louvre with our tour guide, Alban. He was outstanding, and we learned so many of the stories behind the different pieces of artwork. He was able to get us to see specific pieces that we were extremely interested in seeing as well. It was definitely an experience of a lifetime. Three out of the four of us had been to the museum before, but this time was so much better with Alban as our guide.
