Paris Le Marais Food Tour With 10+ Tastings, Cheese, Wine & More

Description
On our Secret Food Tour: Le Marais Paris, you'll enjoy a variety of classic French street foods starting with a viennoiserie/croissants, and collecting breads, then go and seat to enjoy a classic croque-monsieur in the very restaurant where Jim Morrison spent some of his time in Paris, along with discovering our mystery dish and cheese while enjoying a glass of red and white wine. Visiting Le Marais also means seeing the Jewish street of Paris and tasting some creamy Falafels. Then off to a world of sweetness for some incredible chocolates and colourful macarons, all of this crowned by a dessert to finish with style. Our tour starts at the bustling heart of Le Marais near the famous rue de Rivoli, one of the main streets of the city. During the tour we will walk the old streets, cross the Place des Vosges and see some of the oldest medieval houses of Paris. You will realise how the locals live in this part of Paris and how the city's history influence has shaped its gastronomy.

Itinerary
1- 11 Rue François Miron, 75004 Paris. Two of Paris' oldest medieval houses - Walk past and make a stop
A striking Baroque church from 1641 towering over Rue Saint-Antoine. Its dome inspired Les Invalides, and its steps have watched over Marais market life for nearly four centuries.
60 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, 75003 Paris, National Archive museum, Pass without stopping
Paris's oldest planned square, completed in 1612 for royal celebrations. Its perfectly symmetrical red-brick arcades once housed Victor Hugo, and today frame one of the most elegant spots in the city to pause between tastings.
The writer's home from 1832 to 1848, tucked into the corner of Place des Vosges. Hugo wrote much of Les Misérables here, and the apartment is now a free museum overlooking the square.
Jewish quarter
The beating heart of Paris's historic Jewish quarter, the Pletzl. This narrow medieval street is lined with falafel stands, Yiddish bakeries, and family-run delis — a living story of the communities that shaped the Marais's food culture.
Marché Enfants Rouge
30 Rue du Bourg Tibourg, 75004 Paris, Mariage Frère (since1854) is one of the oldest Tea salons in the Capital and an institution for tea lovers.

Love the tour and the guide! So much to learn and so many great choices. Relaxing and fulfilling, hahaha!
A few hours around the city can open up a whole different side of it. We’re glad you chose to spend those hours with Secret Food Tours. Thanks for being part of the journey!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the tour and left completely stuffed.
Your time in the city had plenty of possibilities, and we’re happy some of it brought you our way. We hope Secret Food Tours added a few good memories to the trip. It was great having you here!
I really enjoyed my experience. Zara was a great tour guide and host. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. There were many things that we tasted that were amazing. Also I loved how much history I got to learn on the tour that was pleasantly unexpected. My only critique is that it did feel like it was pretty sugar heavy. I felt like it would be perfect if they had at least one more savory tasting. Other than that my experience was amazing. The weather was beautiful and the neighborhood was gorgeous. If you’re a foodie, and also love seeing beautiful building and structures. This is a must do.
You gave us a chance to share some places we genuinely like. Hopefully a few of them became places you’d be happy to recommend too. Thanks for choosing Secret Food Tours!
Loved this tour. Nana was the most amazing guide. The food and wine were great! Lots of it too! Highly recommend.

Great guide, great food! This tour was so much more than food. Marcel gave us a historical experience as well.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled Marcel made the tour a memorable blend of great food and fascinating history. It’s fantastic to hear you enjoyed the experience beyond the plate!
We had a great time. Our tour guide Olivia was very knowledgeable about the food and the history of the area. She was so passionate about Paris, it was very nice. We highly recommend touring with Olivia.
We’re happy you came along! Showing guests around the places we know and enjoy is something our team genuinely looks forward to. It was great having you with Secret Food Tours.
This was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very accommodating for the full range of ages on our tour (3 to 73). The food was delicious and we walked through some great neighborhoods. She knew a lot about the food, neighborhoods, and history. The only 2 recommendations I’d have (and they are minor) are: add a savory item to the very first stop at the Boulangerie and if possible tie the food to the tour more—it sort of felt like 2 tours. These are highly minor items, though. I recommend the tour and recommend our guide!
Thank you for choosing to explore with us! We hope the tour felt relaxed, welcoming, and full of little discoveries along the way. We’d be happy to have you back at Secret Food Tours.
Tour guide Olivia was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was a fun tour with a good mix of history and cuisine

Absolutely incredible! The Paris Le Marais Food Tour was unlike any other food tour we’ve experienced. Every tasting felt unique and authentically Parisian, from the amazing cheeses and fresh local specialties to the incredible wines we never would have discovered on our own. The wine and cheese pairings were out of this world. You simply can’t compare the quality and flavors to what you typically find back home. Everything tasted fresh, carefully selected, and truly special. The staff made the experience even better. They were warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire tour feel relaxed and personal. We learned so much about French food, wine, and the culture behind what we were tasting while exploring the beautiful streets of Le Marais. If you love great food, incredible wine and cheese, and experiencing Paris beyond the typical tourist spots, this is an absolute must. One of our favorite experiences in Paris and something we would do again in a heartbeat! 🇫🇷🍷🧀🥖
