Paris Champagne & Food Tour with Tastings in Saint-Germain

Exceptionally great experience! Rafael was extremely friendly and informative. Despite being a level 4 sommelier, he explained everything to our level of knowledge Seeing the area, learning the history, picking up food along the way, all to culminate in a fun champagne tasting and pairing with what we had been gathering was such a treat! Was perfect to start our week with this, since we now know many places we want to visit for the rest of our stay. Completely recommend!!!

Excellent tour guides! Lots of wonderful information about champagne. In a small group, which is so much better and we also got to know the others on our tour.

Rafael is a French sommelier who informs not only about champagne, but also culture, history, and architecture. He and his father created this unique experience for visitors to Paris. Having lived in Paris all of his life his knowledge of and indeed his love for his city shows as he talks about and reveals all things Parisian. You literally go on a shopping trip with Rafael as he takes you through the less travelled side streets to find the hidden gems of Paris. First to a patisserie for some bread, then to a boulangerie for macarons then to a cheese shop for cheeses. Along the way he points out historical facts, architectural findings and his favorite restaurants. After our walk and “shopping trip”, we visit a wine cellar where we not only tasted4 different champagnes but also enjoy all the goodies he bought for us along the way ( fabulous cheeses, wonderful breads and delicious macarons. ). This was definitely a major highlight of our trip. You have to do it!

This tour was such a great way to discover Saint-Germain beyond the usual tourist spots. The brasserie stop felt super authentic, we had a glass of wine and soaked up the local atmosphere. Raphaël shared cool anecdotes and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. Would 100% do it again!

Raphael was an excellent and knowledgeable guide! Had a lovely time with wonderful champagne! Bread and cheese were delicious. There was quite a lot of walking. Initial hour was rather far from end destination.

I booked a tour for a Tuesday. On Monday at 11:30 am while I was flying from US to Paris they left a vm that they didn't have enough people and were canceling. I completely understand they need a min #. The issue I have is that they told ME that I had to cancel! By the time I landed and got out my computer to cancel at 330, it was less than 24 hours before the event & the website doesn't allow changes oe cancelations without 100% penalty. In other words, I lost the $158 paid b/c they canceled. I called the vendor/operator 2xs and texted them for help. They refused to refund me and told me to schedule another event. Despite explaing that the policies do not allow changes within the 24 hours before. What a lousy way to start a vacation. I called trip advisor and explained the situatiin multiple times. I also offered to send texts and vm from operator/vendor. I had other events scheduled w My Winedays which I proactively cancelled.
