Once inside, your knowledgeable guide ushers you through the extensive subterranean network, created when Parisian leaders undertook the greatest civil engineering project of their time to address the overcrowding in their city's cemeteries. Tour the Catacombs' main tunnels to discover a city of dead beneath the City of Lights and then explore two special access tunnels.

VIATOR MAP SENT ME TO THE WRONG LOCATION TWICE. I have been on the phone for over an hour trying to get it all sorted out. I will never use this app again
It was very impressive and the audio guide was perfectly sufficient as a guide. It pleased both young and old. Since it was 32 degrees warm above ground, it was also a pleasant alternative to above-ground sightseeing. Maybe bring something to put on. 177 stairs down and back up, just for info for people who have problems with their knees.
Jonny was an excellent guide. Lots of interesting facts that are not part of the typical signage. Fun extras on the the tour that were not part of the standard fare.

When booking other tours via Viator, i came across this one for the Catacombs. It's not something I'd heard of previously and it looked interesting. Andrei, our guide, was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable, kept us moving however with sufficient time to review what he spoken about. We did the additional 'secret' areas which are only available with a 3rd party guide.
Very informative. Two full hours. Not as claustrophobic as I thought it would be, but narrow at the very beginning .
This tour was far more interesting than you might suspect. There is a lot of history about the city, the relationship with the church and the creation of the catacombs.
I’m claustrophobic in tight spaces but the wall distance was not that bad and with the lighting it felt very well lit and enjoyable! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I think 2.5 hours was a little long for me but interesting nonetheless.
