Description
Our Pantheon Private tour in Rome starts in front of the Pantheon at given times of the day. To maintain the quality you would expect in visiting the best preserved Roman Temple in the world, we limit our Private group size so you have the guide all to yourselves . This is a unique way to share a moment with us and discover the formal and informal beauties of this part of the historical centre. In the heart of the city you can easily move on to many great sites by foot and your guide will be happy to share information about other tours and insights into the city that combines many layers of history and mystery. After the introduction outside we go straight inside with pre-booked entrance tickets that have been reserved for you, to further discuss the Pantheon's structure, its original usage, the myths, Emperors and famous royal tombs of the Savoia family. The Pantheon is the temple to all the Gods.

Inside the Pantheon, 3rd most visited site in Rome, it deserves a tranquil and privileged visit. With this special semi private morning, lunch or afternoon tour (choose your time), you'll have the chance visit the Pantheon, guided by a native-speaking or official guide. We put into context the myths and beliefs of the ancient Romans, the tales of a many layered history before entering the best-preserved Roman temple in the world. Piazza Della Rotonda
In front of the Pantheon, the glorious piazza displays a voluptuous fountain by Jacopo Della Porta with an ancient Obelisk raised above it, capped by a crucifix. Fountains in the late Renaissance were celebratory expressions of the return of water after near 1000 years...
Piazza della Minerva
The Palazzo Spadolini was once a tribunal against heretics, were women were put on trial for witchcraft and scientist such as Galileo were tortured by the Dominicans. Also on the Piazza is the only Church with a Pagan name: Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, a church built upon the Temple to the goddess Isis.
