- Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
- The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
- Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
- Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
- The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
- Strollers are permitted on this tour
- During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
- There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

A good family experience, excellent tramway with amazing views at the top.
Buy your ticket directly from the Tram’s official website. They don’t respect any other sites, even though you have a barcode, they treat you like a criminal & ask for ID as though you stole the barcode. You must go through a long line to get this treatment. Just buy it directly. The Tram ride & restaurant was great.
My wife found this trip and booked it for us. It was amazing with some absolutely stunning views, and really good value for money. We read up on it and it advises going early morning or late in the evening. We got up early (ish) and got the cable car up about half 8. Getting there early enabled us to park in the nearest car park. It was a smooth ride up in a rotating car, which gave so spectacular views, the guide also pointed out bits and gave us facts as we went up. Once at the top we had a good look around and then went on a 1 and half mile trek, which was really well sign posted. Again magnificent views and sights. We grabbed a drink in the restaurant and we told it was free refills whilst we still had the cup which was a nice touch. The food was reasonably priced considering we were over 8000 feet up a mountain. The ride down was again nice and smooth. This is an absolute must do if visiting Palm Springs.
It was great, will definitely go back again! We love nature and adventure. Great with kids, families and group of friends.
Even though we booked the 10:30 tram, we were told that since we had these types of tickets, we did NOT have a confirmed time. Luckily, we were able to get on the 10:45 one. Also, whoever books the tickets MUST show a driver's license as identification to redeem the tickets. Fortunately, my husband has the same last name as me and the ticketing person let us in. Really not the right way to start the trip.
It was overcast, but it was still enjoyable. We knew the visibility was zero at the top, but we were able to see on one side.
The cooler temperature was a wonderful reprieve from the summer heat! The engineering feat is a wonder to behold ~
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Have camera ready! Beautiful Experience 🤩 would definitely recommend to family and friends.
